STUDIO OYUNCULARI

STUDIO OYUNCULARI was founded as the performance group of the Acting and Art Studio established by Şahika Tekand and Esat Tekand. The group became professional in 1990. The Studio Players whose point of departure was to explore and implement ‘that which is contemporary' particularly in the art of acting, with all the plays it staged implementing the "Performative Staging and Acting Method" that Şahika Tekand developed, became one of the most remarkable theatre companies around the world, specifically in Europe within the 33 years during which it carried on its activities. The group has been invited to and has participated in many international festivals and has received numerous awards .
