STORYTELLER SOUND - Key Persons

Apryl Roland, wife to David, is the Studio Manager at Storyteller Sound. She handles scheduling and communications. She is also an art photographer known as Pause Picture. While she doesn't spend much time with an instrument in her hand, she listens to music regularly and considers it one of the greatest gifts we have.

David Roland is owner, producer + engineer at Storyteller Sound. He has over 30 years of playing + recording experience. As a member of bands throughout his adolescence into adulthood, he is an experienced musician of all the core rock instruments (drums, guitar, bass + keys). He began his career in 1997 as he opened his first studio - Roland Professional Sound. Working under that name in 2 different locations for 24 years, he has now transitioned to his newly built, state-of-art facility - Storyteller Sound - that opened in 2021. He continues to work with both local, national and international artists as head engineer and producer at Storyteller. David has experience in almost all genres of music spanning multiple mediums including radio, television + film for clients such as Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Clear Channel, Universal Music Group, Motown Records, Netflix, and Red Hour Films among others. When he isn't recording others, he spends his time working on his own production music for film + tv.
