After spending the majority of her working career in the food industry - the passion for customer service and being part of a community that thrived on good food and connecting with people - it was only the natural move for Vanessa to take the plunge and start up her own business. After the ups and downs that life threw at her, culminating in heart surgery, the promise was made to herself that when she recovered, she would find that little place of her own. With a cheery laugh and a spot-her-in-the-crowd hairstyle, Sweet-Ness was born as the obvious name for her store... Sweet-Ness Café was opened in 2015, and since then it has done nothing but soar. Some staff have been at the shop since day dot, but others have joined the family along the way; always moving with the flow of the day, and always smiling as they go about it.
