TAQAWAY

In two consecutive meetings in 2013 and 2014, the League of Arab States (LAS) Executive Bureau of the Arab Ministerial Council of Electricity entrusted the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) to develop a web based renewable energy and energy efficiency information system. Accordingly, Taqa Way has been developed as a joint collaborative initiative between the LAS and RCREEE. It enhances the availability and the quality of renewable energy and energy efficiency data in the Arab countries by providing common platform for data collection, storage and sharing between countries, regional institutions and other stakeholders. Taqa Way has been developed by RCREEE with additional kind support of GIZ, UN-ESCWA and UNEP.
