Dr. Elizabeth Douville

Dr. Douville is Managing Partner and Co-founder of AmorChem, a Québec-based seed venture fund dedicated to financing and commercializing university-based life sciences technologies. Launched in 2011 with a capital of $41,25M, the AmorChem fund model uniquely combines access to financial resources with a virtual incubator structure that enables the rapid development and commercialization of life science technologies. The first fund successfully built a portfolio of 24 technologies, leveraged its initial capital to close to $76M with non-dilutive sources, transacted three pharma exits and spun out six biotech companies. The AmorChem II fund was launched in September of 2017 and now has $53.7M in capital under management with a mandate to invest in both the provinces of Québec and Ontario. Elizabeth brings to AmorChem a deep and long-standing experience in venture capital investing having been General Partner of GeneChem, a leading North American life sciences venture capital fund manager. She joined GeneChem in 1997, moving rapidly from Manager to Partner with the different funds under management. Elizabeth is very involved and active in the life sciences industry, providing guidance and leadership on the boards of several companies and organizations. In addition to her participation on the boards of portfolio companies Mperia Therapeutics, Corbin Therapeutics, SemaThera and Fairhaven Pharma, she has recently been appointed Chair of Genome Canada; a not-for-profit organization funded by the Canadian Federal Government to support applied genomics. She is also an active board member of BioCanRx, a Networks of Centers of Excellence for Bio-Therapeutics for Cancer Treatment and is a Member of the CFI, the Canada Foundation for Innovation. Elizabeth trained as a biochemist, obtaining her PhD from the University of Ottawa and a post-doctoral fellow from the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London, UK. She also has a business degree from CIREM/HEC.

Mr. Amir Lichter

Amir is a 28-year veteran of R&D development management and processes. He has vast technical experience mainly in Medical architectures with proven strong management & leadership skills along with interpersonal and communication proficiency. He has active experience in customer relationship as part of the company management team, including pre-sale activities and technical integrations. He pushed and took part in few Research activities together with the academy & Hospitals (Including funding and regulatory affairs). He also brings his experience in multi-site collaboration and international management. Experience: Amir is the CEO of Beta-O2 starting at March/2019. Amir was working for Lumenis for 6.5 years (2012-2018). He started as the VP of Global R&D, leading a team of 80 engineers world-wide, he also serves as a member of the Management team who drove the company back to NASDAC in 2014 and to be sold to XIO in 2015. Later, he served as the COO (Heading the Engineering and Regulatory affairs teams - 140 employees all together). Then, he served as the VP of Business-development, heading the M&A activities as well as collaborations between companies and Lumenis. Amir was working for General-Electric for 9 years (2003-2012), serving as the R&D Manager, as well as few previous positions such as Program Management & Clinical/Application group management. The company develops Cardio-Vascular Ultrasound systems, competing Philips, Siemens & others. Amir worked for Charlotte's-Web-Networks for 4 years (1999-2003) managing the SW department. The company developed a Core-Router for the Internet, competing giants such as Cisco and Juniper. Amir worked for Elbit Systems for 4 years (1995-1999)in few different projects (Head Display units, Digital maps for Helicopters and Battle-Tanks etc.) leading few different levels of SW groups. Mr. Andrew Graham

Mr. André Perey

Mr. Chad Bayne

As a founder and Co-Chair of Osler's Emerging and High Growth Companies Practice Group, he advises various emerging and high growth companies operating in the information technology, biotechnology, cleantech and industrial technology sectors, the venture capital funds and investors that finance them and the strategic acquirors who buy them. Chad has a wide range of industry-related experience in the information technology sector. He was seconded to the legal department of the Canadian subsidiary of a major computer hardware supplier. Rick Nathan leads Kensington's venture capital investment program as a Managing Director and member of the firm's Investment Committee. His career spans many years across the private equity and venture market as an industry leader, investor and professional advisor. Rick currently serves as an active board member of several companies within the Kensington venture portfolio, and as a member of the investor advisory committee of several of Canada's leading venture funds. Rick began his career as a corporate and securities lawyer at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, where he practiced law for 12 years, including as head of the firm's Technology Business Group from 1995 to 1999. He then entered the investment industry as a Co-founding Partner of Brightspark Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. Mr. Sam Ifergan

Ms. Maria Pacella

Ms. Michele Romanow
