Rawa S. Hassan, DDS is a personable and caring dentist who, for 17 years, has provided award-winning gentle dentistry in Maryland, Washington D.C and Florida. Dr. Hassan has extensive training in all phases of dentistry, but maintains special interest in Cosmetics, very fearful patients and Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy (LAPT). She has vast experience in Lumineers, dental implants, minor orthodontics, laser dentistry, dermal fillers, Nitrous Oxide (N20) and conscious sedation. She is a strong advocate of balancing sound, traditional methods of dentistry with a natural approach to resolving patients' dental problems. Her holistic approach and deep sense of service has resulted in a happy and loyal patient following. She receives consistent patient reviews of "Excellent" on HealthGrades and other nationally recognized health-related social media sites. Dr. Hassan is frequently described by patients as "professional, courteous, gentle and warm." Dr. Hassan graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Howard University's College of Dentistry, Washington D.C. in 1997. She furthered her training by completing a general practice residency (AEGD) from Howard University in 1998. Dr. Hassan has earned the Howard S. Fleming Memorial Award in honor of her exceptional research in dentistry and the numerous American Dental Association table clinics she has participated in. In addition to the Howard S. Fleming memorial Award, Dr. Hassan has earned the Merton Vu Duckett Humanitarian Award for her devotion, humanitarianism and exhibition of professional code of conduct. Dr. Hassan volunteers her time and expertise during medical and humanitarian missions in Honduras and Guatemala as well as many other countries. While on these missions, she treats patients, mentors dental interns and trains dental assistant students, helping them advance their skills for knowledgeable, compassionate care. Dr. Hassan proudly serves as a dental officer in the U.S. Army Reserve in support of our troops.
