Dr. Farouk EL OKDAH

Dr. Hala ElSaid

Dr. Hala ElSaid is a prominent female banking figure, as a member of the Central Bank's Board of Directors and as an Executive Director of the Egyptian Banking Institute for eight consecutive years, managing the Institute with a promising vision to establish a professional training arm for the Egyptian banking system that applies international best practices in the development of technical and administrative skills for financial and banking professionals in Egypt and the Middle East and North Africa. During this period, she led a group of experts and consultants at the Institute to obtain international accreditation to become the first accredited banking and financial training institute in Egypt and the Middle East and North Africa region (2006 -2008). Dr. Hala ElSaid has also held several positions, including advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Central Bank's Anti-Money Laundering Unit, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab African International Bank. In addition to this great career, Dr. Hala ElSaid has academic contributions that include a wide range of internationally acclaimed research papers, studies and reports on various economic topics, most notably studies on financial and banking reform, international finance, privatization and economic reform. To name but a few, ElSaid has provided research and reports on bank mergers, financing of Small and Medium Enterprises, Corporate Governance and the role of the state in reducing credit risk. Dr. Hala ElSaid was also awarded the Best Arab Minister Award in the first round of the Arab Government Excellence Award in November 2020. Dr. Hala ElSaid received her PhD in Economics in 1989 from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. In 2011, she became the first elected dean for the Faculty of Economics and Political Science and then assistant to the president of Cairo University for Scientific Research and Foreign Relations from September 2013 to 2016.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz HEGAZY

Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz Mohamed Hegazy has more than 35 years of professional and academic experience in the field of accounting and finance. Khaled Abdelaziz Hegazy holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science in London, England. He also received a Master of Science (Master) degree in Accounting and Finance from the same faculty. Prior to that, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University, Egypt. Dr. Khaled Hegazy's career spans several decades, during which he held key positions in prominent institutions and companies, where he served as the Executive Partner at Dr. Abdelaziz Hegazy & Partners-Crowe, a professional firm of chartered accountants and consultants registered with the Public Corporate Accounting Supervisory Board (PCAOB) in the United States and a member of Crowe Global since November 1996. He also co-founded Hegazy Management and Consulting Company with Dr. Abdelaziz Hegazy in 1986 and became Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2017. Dr. Hegazy has extensive experience in financial and management advisory, finance & banking, and auditing & corporate governance, and is a registered Consultant with the World Bank in Egypt, and a registered Certified Public Accountant in Egypt. Dr. Hegazy has held important positions in several companies where he has served as a non-executive member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Oriental Weavers since October 2022, New Alexandria Medical Center since October 2022, Misr Life Insurance since 2014, Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) since June 2016, Barclays Bank Egypt from 2010 to 2018, and International Leasing Finance INCOLEASE from 2014 to 2016 and from 2018 to 2021. Dr. Hegazy's professional experience in risk management also extends to Misr Life Insurance and Barclays Bank Egypt as a member of their Risk Committee. Dr. Hegazy also served as the non-executive chairman of Misr Spinning and Weaving and El Bayda's Dyers in Kafr El Dawar, Digital Finance Holding Company (DFIN), and Misr Real Estate Fund Company 1 - Banque Misr. Prof. Dr. Khaled Hegazy has a diverse academic career that includes key teaching roles and affiliations. He is currently the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Business and Business at New Giza University. In addition, he served as Associate Dean and Program Manager for both graduate and undergraduate programs at the Nile University College of Business Administration. Dr. Hegazy's academic journey extends even further as he has made valuable contributions as a lecturer at the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University and assumed teaching responsibilities as a visiting professor at various prestigious universities in the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, USA, as well as the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and the College of Business and Economics at the United Arab Emirates University - Al Ain, UAE. Dr. Hegazy's academic research works include publications and conference presentations and post graduate thesis supervision on risks in financial institutions; Islamic finance; activity-based costing; the balanced scorecard; The design of cost accounting systems; accounting information systems; strategic finance; audit committees and corporate governance; accounting reforms in less developed countries; the measurement and reporting of intellectual capital, and the knowledge economy. Throughout his career, Dr. Hegazy has been honored for his achievements and contributions as he participated in the Egyptian American Presidential Council Professional Initiative and received the American Fulbright Commission Senior Scholars Scholarship. He has also completed several professional development programs and workshops in the fields of investment, finance, management accounting and project evaluation. Dr. Hegazy is a member and fellow of prestigious academic and professional associations, including the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in the United States, the Canadian Association of Academic Accountants (CAAA), the Egyptian Association of Accountants and Auditors, and the Arab Society for Cost and Management Accounting. He also worked in many professional boards and committees and contributed to the development and advancement of the accounting and auditing profession in Egypt and is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Institute for Accountants and Auditors.

Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh

Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh has been appointed as Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) in August 2022 as per the Presidential Decree No. 353/2022. He is also a Board Member at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and a Member of the CBE's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC). Farid served as the Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) since August 2017 as per the Prime Ministerial Decree No. 1759/2017 and his term was renewed in August 2021. During this period, Farid held many international positions, the Chairman of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) from 2017-2019 and from 2021 till August 2022; the Chairman of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM) from 2019 till 2021; the Chairman of the Emerging Markets Working Group at the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) from 2017 till 2021; and a Board Member of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) throughout his Chairmanship of the EGX. Prior to his appointment as EGX Executive Chairman, Farid served as the Chairman and the CEO of Dcode EFC - a leading economic advisory firm in Egypt. Furthermore, between 2013 and 2016, Farid was an External Consultant on Venture Capital (VC) and Financial Leasing for the World Bank Group in Egypt, and was a Member of the Capital Market Advisory Committee established by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA). Dr. Sadek Wahba

Dr. Sadek Wahba is Chairman and Managing Partner of I Squared Capital, an independent global infrastructure investment manager with over 180 professionals based in Miami, London, New Delhi, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei. The company specializes in infrastructure investments in the energy, utilities, transport, environmental infra, digital infra and social infra sectors in North America, Europe and select high-growth economies across Asia and Latin America. He was previously at Morgan Stanley where he was the CEO of Morgan Stanley Infrastructure, a global platform for infrastructure investments. A former economist at The World Bank, Sadek is an advocate for transformative approaches to infrastructure investment and a frequent commentator about the need for more investment in infrastructure to promote sustainable economic growth. He was part of the expert committee on the World Economic Forum's first report on global infrastructure investments and was named Global Infrastructure Personality of the Year twice, as well as Global Infrastructure Personality of the Decade, by Private Equity International (PEI). He appears regularly on national networks including Bloomberg and CNBC. In September 2022, President Biden appointed Sadek to the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, which advises the White House on reducing the physical and cyber risks and improving the security and resilience of critical infrastructure in the U.S. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, an M.Sc. in economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a B.A. in economics from the American University in Cairo. He is a published author on economic research, including articles in the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Review of Economics and Statistics and others. One of his publications was selected by MIT as one of their 50 most influential papers in the last 50 years. Sadek is a Senior Fellow at the Development Research Institute of New York University and Foundation Fellow of St. Antony's College, University of Oxford. Since joining The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE) in May 2020, Mr. ElEbiary has spearheaded the Fund's investments in infrastructure & utilities, banking & non-banking financial services, healthcare, real estate and education. Mr. ElEbiary also led several financial advisory transactions for State Owned Enterprises in excess of $2 billion. Before joining The Sovereign Fund of Egypt, Mr. ElEbiary was Managing Director of Qalaa Holdings (formerly known as Citadel Capital), an African leader in infrastructure and industry, for 14 years. At Qalaa Holdings Mr. ElEbiary led the investments in Nile river transportation / logistics, FMCG and Cement. On the M&A and financing side, Mr. ElEbiary led several transactions including the acquisition and divestiture of Qena Cement (LE 700 million), project finance and divestiture of Asec Menya Cement and Asec Ready Mix (LE 1.0 billion), acquisition of Rashidy El Mizan (Undisclosed Amount), greenfield project finance (LE 1.0 billion and $130 million) and structured finance products ($25 million). Mr. ElEbiary represented Qalaa Holdings in Investor Relations and brokerage local and international conferences and was in charge of corporate governance of the Qalaa Holdings and subsidiaries' boards. During his tenure at Gemini, he led multiple merger and acquisition transactions for the Gemini group, as well as startups and greenfield, to build a diversified portfolio of assets in technology, food, fashion, agroindustry, energy, financial services and fintech, media and real estate. Before joining Gemini Mr. Soliman headed Orascom Telecom Holding's corporate strategy team where he spearheaded the formulation of the business development and growth strategy for the company. Mr. Okasha's banking career spans over 26 years. He joined National Bank of Egypt since April 2008 as Deputy Chairman. He was held responsible for the restructuring of the bank as part of the country's financial sector reform plan. Mr. Hussein CHOUCRI is currently the Chairman and Managing Director of HC Securities & Investment. Tarek Kabil is former minister of trade and industry for Egypt from Sep 2015 to Aug 2018. He was a major player in the economic reforms program and led the industrial production growth to be the highest in the world in 2017. He reduced trade deficit by 20bn $ (35%) in two years and boost export by more than 15% annually. He created important new institutions to regulate Trade and industry and fuel the growth in Egypt. previously he was a partner in Abraaj capital and the head of the Abraaj Performance Acceleration Group, where he leads more than 40 Partner Company for The Abraaj Group's businesses in the MENA region and all FMCG's companies around the globe.
