Established on October 19, 2016, the United States Bomb Technician Association (USBTA) is the only nonprofit public charity, recognized under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3), that exclusively focuses on the needs of United States bomb disposal technicians. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with an office in Indian Head, Maryland, the USBTA was created by bomb disposal technicians to address gaps in training, education, and funding, within the bomb disposal community... The USBTA created a unique combination of trade show/hands-on scenario-based training that introduces bomb disposal technicians to new and/or prototyped equipment which give bomb technicians the opportunity to explore the equipment's merits and/or shortcomings. These events, coined Technology Training Events (TTEs), are held throughout the United States and their success relies heavily on the USBTA's partnership with industry.
