Mr. Gilchrist has been a Principal and President of URDC since 1968. He is a specialist in park, trail and recreation master planning, land use planning, site analysis, design and site engineering. His leadership, as a Principal with over 43 years of experience, has directed the research, planning and design of many recreational, development, residential, educational, industrial and commercial projects to large new towns, major resorts, State parks, parkways and environmental centers. Mr. Gilchrist is recognized as an expert in the fields of recreation, land planning, site and civil engineering, urban and rural area planning, market economics and community development in Pennsylvania and Maryland. This includes expert testimony in the previously described fields in numerous Pennsylvania county courts, Commonwealth Courts and Pennsylvania Administrative Law Judges and to over 300 municipal zoning boards and elected official governing boards and planning commissions during the past 35 years.

Mike is a registered landscape architect in the state of Pennsylvania. Michael has over ten years of professional experience covering a wide range of landscape architecture competencies. He joined the URDC staff in the summer of 2019. At URDC Mike is the office lead for standards and practices for AutoCAD / Civil 3D and is proficient in graphic production and digital modeling. He is involved with various on-going planning and construction projects. Prior to working at URDC, Mike worked in the high end residential design build market.
Mr. Lachman has been directly responsible for final design and layout manager for many park master plans and trail design plans. In those capacities, he has been instrumental in preparing preliminary and final construction plans, profiles, grading, utility, stormwater, erosion and sedimentation plans, permits, and construction details.
Mr. Kriebel has been a professional planner in both the public and private sectors for more than 40 years. During his 25+ years at URDC, Mr. Kriebel has been a project manager for projects in land use / comprehensive planning; economic development; housing; parks, recreation, open space, and greenways; and various specialized studies. He is certified by the PA Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) as a market analyst for housing projects for low- and moderate-income residents. As such, he has completed market analyses for tax-credit applications to PHFA since 1998.
