Benjamin Brighte Ackah-Nyamike

Benjamin Brighte Ackah-Nyamike is a CIMA qualified Banking professional with over 20 years demonstrated success in Stock Brokerage, Financial Analysis and Management. As General Manager of UMB Stockbrokers Limited, one of the top Brokerage Firms in Ghana, Benjamin leads the execution of the institution's long term strategic plan as well as develops corporate and operational policies and procedures that guide management in operational decisions and actions. He also oversees the company's operations to ensure efficiency, high service quality and cost-effective management of resources. With his experience and resilience, he formulated customer retention strategies with an aim to minimize customer attrition levels during the turbulent times in the financial industry. Benjamin in addition to his exemplary contribution in his current position, has phenomenal skills in deal structuring, negotiation and execution. Due to this he led the Sponsoring Broker Team on the merger of Dannex Ltd, Ayrton Drug Manufacturing Ltd and Starwin Products Ltd to Daspharma Plc. He also led the Sponsoring Broker Team in the Rights offering by Republic Bank in 2017 to meet the Central Bank Minimum capitalization requirements. He was also a panelist at the Start up Investor Conference sponsored by MBC Africa and the Netherlands Embassy in 2017 and continues to make strides in the Financial Industry. Prior to this role, Benjamin was the CEO of HFC Brokerage now Republic Bank, where he provided leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry. In his time as CEO he developed strategic plans to advance the company's mission and objectives, through revenue generation, profitability and organizational growth. He also developed and identified opportunities for listing companies, both debt and equity, on the Main official list as well as the Ghana Alternative Market on the Ghana Stock Exchange. Benjamin holds an MBA in Finance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Dr. Joseph (Joe) Tackie - Chairman

Dr. Joseph (Joe) Tackie is currently the Chairman of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Policy Network (APN) and has several years of practical experience in working with the Private and Public Sectors in Ghana. Dr. Tackie served as the Chief Director at the Ministry of Business Development established by H.E. President Nana Akufo-Addo in February 2017. He previously served as the CEO of the National Medium-Term Private Sector Development Strategy (PSDS II) under the Office of the President. He also served as the Coordinator of the Trade Sector Support Programme (TSSP) and the Industrial Sector Support Programme (ISSP) at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. He is credited with coordinating and facilitating the establishment of the Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX) from inception and served as Chairman of the GCX Steering Committee. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Board for Small Scales Industries (NBSSI now GEA) and the Steering Committee of the Ghana Skills and Technology Development Programme (GSTDP). As an accomplished entrepreneur, Dr. Tackie is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Global Entrepreneurship Solutions, Meaty Foods Limited, Microchip Technologies Ltd., and Co-Founder and Executive Director of Small Business Development Foundation. As a Leadership and Business Development Consultant, Dr. Tackie had an extensive engagement in business consulting at O.I.M International B.V. (Cape Town, S. Africa) in Organizational Structuring and Re-structuring, Strategic Human Resources Development, Development of Codes of Conduct and Monitoring Mechanisms, Leadership Training and Coaching amongst others. He served as an expert in the finalisation of the UNCTAD Entrepreneurship Policy Framework for developing countries at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) in Geneva. He was an Adjunct Lecturer in Entrepreneurship Strategies at the Graduate Business School of Central University and has delivered several seminars and talks on Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation. He was adjudged the First Overall Winner of the ‘Believe-Begin-Become' 2006 - National Business Plan Competition by Google Foundation and TechnoServe (Ghana) for the Development of Entrepreneurship in Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and Swaziland. He subsequently hosted Larry Page, the founder of Google to Ghana in 2007. Dr. Tackie holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Agriculture, MBA in Entrepreneurial Management, and Doctorate in Business Leadership (DBL). Dr. Tackie was the first Recipient of the High Impact Personality Award at the 2015 SME Ghana Awards. He was also awarded the Private Sector Development Chief Executive of the Year Award in 2016 and also the Chamber Special Award for 2017 - The Business Development Technocrat from the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (GNCCI).

Mr. Nelson Cudjoe

Nelson Cudjoe Kuagbedzi is the Head of Finance and Accounts at UMB Capital Ltd and also oversees the Finance and Accounting functions of the affiliated companies. Before joining UMB Capital, Nelson worked with Jins Savings and Loans as Head of Finance and Investment and SIC Brokerage as an Investment Analyst and Business Development Officer in charge of the Francophone Capital Markets (BRVM and BVMAC). He also worked with Resitech Ghana Limited as a Finance officer. Nelson is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Practitioner. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (CITG). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Mouloud Mammeri University in Algeria and an MPhil in Corporate Finance from the same University. He also has an MBA in Financial Management from the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion (MBA ESG) in Paris, France. He has an Executive Certificate in Pensions Management from the African University College of Communication Studies (AUCC) in Accra as well as the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Securities industry Certificate. Nelson is also a Teacher by Profession and holds a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast. He taught at GES for 3 years. Nelson is trained and certificated in Leadership, Performance, and Organizational Management. He was the former President of the Teacher Trainee's Association of Ghana-Volta Sector, the Former President of NUGS-Algeria, and also the Former President of the Pan African Student Movement in Tizi-Ouzo-Algeria.

Nana Ama Pokuaa Ayiku

Nana Ama Pokuaa Ayiku is an experienced Human Resource Management practitioner with over ten years of post-qualification experience in Human Resource Management. She has held several senior positions in HR in various industries such as Technology, Real Estate, and Pharmaceutical. She has also consulted for companies like Breakthrough Consult and Tano Consult where she offered bespoke HR solutions to the clients of these companies. She was the first HR Manager, General Manager, and HR Director at TXT GHANA Ltd (GROUP) and was responsible for the setting up of all the HR systems, strategies, policies, procedures, and programs during a period of rapid expansion of the company. As a passionate HR professional, she endeavors to deliver high morale and motivation of staff, ensures the right competencies and attitudes of employees towards work is right, and strives for a high-performance culture for the benefit of all stakeholders. Nana Ama is passionate about singing and is also a Wellness Coach. She is married with two daughters.

Vic-Susan Obeng Obuobi

Vic-Susan has over 12 years of experience in Marketing and Client Relations from leading financial institutions in Ghana. She previously worked in investment consultancy and management, as Manager, Monitoring and Client Relations. Over the years, she has distinguished herself as a prolific leader, spearheaded her teams to meet set targets, and exhibited a high sense of resilience in developing business, adopting a versatile and proactive approach to handling issues, while providing cutting-edge solutions. She also worked at Barclays Bank Ghana Limited and was a driving force in the sales team, where she built, nurtured, and managed not only her clients' accounts but also oversaw over 28 lead generators. Prior to this, she traded on the interbank market and provided investment advice to clients as a Corporate Dealer/ Clients Relations Officer at Securities Discount Company Limited (now known as SDC Finance and Leasing Company Limited). She also managed the liability portfolio books of the company. Vic-Susan holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, a Bachelor of Education (Social Science) in Economics and Management from the University of Cape Coast, and an Executive MBA from the University Of Ghana Business School.
