VABBA2 is overseen by a steering committee comprised of VDGIF biologists, as well as pastand current board members of the VSO. Members of this committee were instrumental in launching this second bird monitoring effort for the state of Virginia. Dr. Ashley Peele is a research scientist at Virginia Tech's Conservation Management Institute and the Statewide Coordinator for the VABBA2... We are a voluntary, self-directed partnership that operates across all or portions of 12 states including: Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and West Virginia... To more effectively address the needs across our broad geography, we have established smaller regional partnerships to enhance engagement with partners and better direct work on the ground. We also work with other existing partnerships that share our conservation goals.
