Stephen A. Burt is President of Healthcare Compliance Resources (HCR), an affiliate of

Steve has surveyed healthcare facilities for more than 30 years to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) regulations.
HCR's representative work for the healthcare sector includes providing OSHA and HIPAA compliance services for more than 50 hospitals, 25 long-term care facilities, 1,000 physician offices, and 100 dental offices in the Southeast. Steve speaks regularly throughout the Southeast and beyond on OSHA, EPA, HIPAA, and management topics for healthcare providers. He has conducted many full-day seminars for the University of North Carolina, Duke University's Area Health Education Centers, East Carolina University, the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, and the American Hospital Association among others.
