Yardbird Southern Fried Chicken is the third restaurant concept from Thomas and Kirtanya von Matt, the husband and wife duo and owners behind Von Matt Hospitality Group (VMHG). VHMG is behind several restaurants primarily located in Zürich, which include The Bite Gourmet Burger Restaurant (since 2013), Brisket Southern BBQ & Bar (2015) and LA Brea SoCal Tacos (2019). Their concepts were founded together with Stephan von Matt, Thomas' brother, who has since moved on to pursue new ventures... At Yardbird, we've got a pretty laid back approach - the scene is lively, warm, and has a touch of Southern Hospitality. Our favourite kind of space is somewhere you can go on a date, which can also double for a big night out with your crew.
