David Whitehouse

David is a knowledgeable Health & Safety professional with a wealth of experience in the Telecoms and Facilities Management sectors. He has managed H&S requirements in high risk, hazardous environments, developing and implementing effective safe systems of work and encouraging a robust safety culture. David's main responsibilities include management of the GTR Health & Safety Policy, ensuring compliance with local legislation, safety inspections, audits and reporting. Before joining us, he held roles at Mitie, France Telecom, BT Managed Services and Ericsson, so is well-versed in the management of critical infrastructure projects. David holds a National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH).

Franek Sodzawiczny - CEO, Founder

As one of the most respected figures in the industry, Franek is well-known in the sector and has a strong business track record. With a career spanning over 3 decades, he has extensive experience in every aspect of the property industry, from finance, design and construction to facilities and energy management. His particular area of expertise is mission-critical environments. He's been involved in a myriad of projects across a range of vertical sectors including aviation, telecommunications, IT and manufacturing. Franek was founder and CEO of Zenium Data Centers. Here, he helped deliver ‘best of breed' data centers in both established and existing markets for large enterprise customers and cloud service providers. He sold Zenium to Cyrus One and Equinix for $500+ million. Prior to establishing Zenium, Franek was a founding partner of UK-based Sentrum. With a reputation for quality and innovation, Sentrum was sold to Digital Realty for $1.1 billion.

Mark Trevor

Mark has worked exclusively in the data center industry for over two decades, providing consultancy and transactional services to a wide range of enterprise and SME clients. He's provided commercial due diligence advice to investors and lenders, site and colocation acquisition services, investment acquisition and disposal, development and implementation of strategies for enterprises to scale down/exit their dedicated facilities and global DC portfolio management. Before joining us, he headed up Cushman & Wakefield's EMEA Data Centre Advisory Group and held a similar role at Deloitte. Mark is respected as an expert in his field. He was an early pioneer in data center real estate consulting, advising on the very first European data center. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Martin Carroll

Martin is recognised as one of Europe's leading advisors in the data center industry. He has in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the technical real estate market including investment, development, leasing and corporate data center dynamics. For over 20 years, he's led technical real estate teams in both a consultancy and client capacity. In the mobile sector, he headed up Network Property Acquisition for T-Mobile and as a consultant he was Lead Director of the EMEA Data Center advisory team at JLL. Martin is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and Associate of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACI Arb). He also has an Investment Management Certificate (CFA - IMC).

Neil Grocock

With more than 20 years in the construction industry, Neil has a wealth of expertise in the planning, procurement, management and delivery of numerous major data center developments. Having spent much of his career to date in consultancy and advisory roles with clients across the data center sector, as well as leading delivery teams in the UK and Europe, Neil's experience at the forefront of the data center construction industry is enviable. One of Neil's most notable schemes was the delivery of the world's first multi-floor data center to feature a vertical indirect adiabatic and evaporative cooling system. Prior to joining GTR, Neil headed up the data center division at global multi-disciplinary consultants RPS Group for over 15 years. He was also part of a niche development consultancy advising on, and constructing, bespoke technical property solutions. Neil is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (FCABE).

Richard Rowson - CFO

Richard has held senior financial roles with international data center operators for most of the last twenty years. His first involvement in the data center industry was in 2000 as CFO for IX Europe and since then he has been CFO at Global Switch and most recently was VP Finance and interim CFO at Interxion. He also served as CFO at Romonet, a software company using predictive analytics to deliver data center operating efficiencies. In addition to a successful track record leading statutory reporting, taxation, treasury and strategic planning teams for both public and private equity owned business, Richard also has extensive experience in equity and debt financing and M&A. Richard holds a degree in geography from Bristol University and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Steve Webb

Steve has an in-depth knowledge of and experience in the design, build and ongoing operation of data centers, with an emphasis on sustainability, for both multinationals and cloud service providers. Prior to joining the GTR team, Steve held several senior roles including CIO at Ark Data Centres, CFO for a Fortune 500 company, as well as COO with operational responsibilities across EMEA and APAC. Most recently, he headed up SafeHost SA (STACK Infrastructure) as CEO, where he grew the company to become the largest data center operators in Switzerland before completing the sale of the business.

Tom Sodzawiczny

Tom specialises in the originating and underwriting of site acquisitions and M&A opportunities in the data center and real estate sectors in the UK and Europe. He's also responsible for sourcing project finance for developments, working with our customers to create innovative financial structures. Before joining us, Tom was an Associate Director of Colliers International Capital Markets, where he managed their private equity clients. He was focused primarily on the acquisition of large multi-jurisdiction portfolios totaling some 35,000 assets over his 6 years in the business. Tom holds a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate from the University of Reading and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
