Around 1990, home heating oil and red diesel delivery was added to the coal delivery business. The home heating oil business benefited from the government policy to move Housing Executive houses away from coal to oil heating, and the heating oil, red diesel and coal delivery business outgrew the Strangford depot... Strangford Fuels is a prime distributor of home heating oil, red diesel and coal to the residents of County Down. Originally based in Strangford, we now operate from a state of the art oil and coal fuel depot in Downpatrick. This facility enables us to operate our home heating oil and red diesel delivery business in a highly efficient manner - which means lower heating oil and red diesel prices for you, the consumer.
