John is the founding principal of the Swann Group and its predecessor Swann Global. With more than 40 years' experience in natural resources and executive search, John has an international reputation for adding value to companies, projects and individuals through his confidential advice.
John builds close working relationships with organisations and their leaders, enabling him to define and meet the needs of clients and candidates, and to challenge their thinking. He is respected for his forthright assessments and his creative approach in the face of change.

As Swann Group Chairman, Lorraine acts as a global ambassador for the Group's brands and also advises the new leadership team. She has been with the company since 2001, having managed Swann's Australian business before taking the helm of Swann worldwide in 2015. She became CEO of the newly formed Group in 2019, overseeing the launch of Cygnet. Lorraine developed and supported Swann's North American office in Toronto and was responsible for establishing the Latin American office in Santiago. Known for her ability to identify the small number of exceptional leaders in any particular category, Lorraine pinpoints and advises on the leadership qualities that contribute to the futureproofing of an organisation. A committed contributor to the mining industry, Lorraine serves as a Fellow of the AusIMM and plays an active role in Swann's research programme. Prior to joining Swann, she spent a number of years in the airline and travel industry with a focus on customer service, people management and recruitment.

Tom provides advice on driving change behaviours in organisations based on his deep experience from a number of roles, ranging from divisional CEO/MD for a FTSE 100 and other companies to Partner/Director and consultant for major operational and change management consultancies. His broad 35 year plus experience has always been about helping senior executives deliver necessary change in their organisations, through releasing and harnessing the potential available to them within their management teams. His mining experience covers operations, in Africa, Asia and across Europe. He has led turnaround missions and been a member of a UK Government-Industry working party assisting a foreign government in developing basic industries. As well as a bachelor's degree and PhD in marine biology, Tom holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.
As Managing Director of Skein Advisory, Tom works with clients across the Swann Group.
