As international affairs expert Dawit has occupied senior roles for telecom, oil, gas and power organizations in USA, Caribbean, Middle East & Africa. Experienced in partnerships, acquisitions, growth strategy, economic policy, project management, private and public-private partnerships he has advised corporate principals world-wide. While at Washington DC headquarters from 1998- 2013, Dawit worked in World Bank's Africa Energy Division, and on Vice President's Internal Audit Department.
Dr Alexander Shaw is a globally experienced investment professional with over 15 years' experience in the mining sector. He has extensive experience particularly in diamonds, ferrous, base and precious metals and has held senior roles at ITM Angola, African Minerals, First Quantum Minerals and Wood Mackenzie. Dr. Shaw is a director of Blackstone Natural Resources and Chief Geologist at Canyon Resources who are developing the world class Minim Martap Ngaoundal bauxite deposit in Cameroon. His professional memberships include: Australian Institute of Geoscientists, American Institute of Professional Geologists, Geological Society of London (Fellow) and the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. Dr. Shaw obtained his BSc. (Hons) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and a D.Phil. from the University of Oxford, UK.
