Scotia Exploration Ltd intends to exploit these rights and build a mining asset-base that will generate outstanding returns for its shareholders. The company is therefore encouraging pre-IPO investment in exchange for a shareholding in the Company... In addition to Scotia's core activity within the very stable Scottish and Irish jurisdictions, our attention has more recently been focused upon some exploration opportunities within 'emerging economies'. We are therefore actively pursuing interests within Africa, notably Cote d'Ivoire and Niger and are in negotiation with government agencies there regarding where to focus our exploration activity. These areas are highly prospective for gold and other precious metals being some of the oldest rocks on Earth known as the Birimian Greenstones, which occur within the Archaen and Proterozoic cratons of West Africa. We anticipate significant returns from these interests which will significantly bolster shareholder dividends.
