Chris Thompson is Aegon Asset Management's head of global client group and is at the forefront of the efforts to bring products and solutions to clients and markets globally. He is also CEO of the US legal entities. Chris has more than three decades of distribution, product and marketing experience in asset management. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, he previously served as senior managing director and head of the Americas client group at AllianceBernstein. He also held positions at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, Putnam Investments and BEA Associates/CS First Boston Investment Management. He received his AB with a major in government from Dartmouth College and his MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business.

Damiaan Jacobovits de Szeged is Aegon Asset Management's chief financial and transformation officer responsible for aligning and executing the firm's financial and transformational strategic objectives. He is also the CEO of Aegon AM NL. Damiaan joins Aegon AM from Aegon Group, where he worked for 18 years, during which time he held a number of senior roles, most recently as the chief operating officer of Aegon International. Prior to that, he was the CFO of Aegon Continental Europe. He also spent a few years in Asia for Aegon where he was the CEO of Transamerica Life Bermuda. Before joining Aegon, Damiaan spent a decade at JP Morgan in debt capital markets as well as Mergers & Acquisitions. He has been in the industry since 1995, and joined Aegon AM In 2023. Damiaan holds a Masters in economics from University of Groningen and DESS in banking and finance from University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Kevin Connolly is managing director and production manager for Aegon Asset Management's Commercial Mortgage Loan (CML) platform. In this role he oversees the CML team's national origination platform on behalf of the firm's lending clients. He is a member of the real assets investment committee. Prior to his current role, Kevin was the head of the Eastern region for the CML team, responsible for the origination and management of loans within the Eastern time zone of the US as well as responsible for CML originations in New York and New England. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Lone Star Funds, Mesirow Financial, and LaSalle Bank. Kevin has been in the industry since 2000 and started with the firm in 2017. He received his BS in finance and economics from the University of Illinois and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth of School of Business.
Kirstie MacGillivray, Aegon AM UK CEO, is responsible for managing the change, growth and performance of the UK business. Kirstie's nearly three decades of asset management experience spans the hedge fund industry, derivatives risk management, and equity derivative sales. She held positions at Barrie & Hibbert, BCS Asset Management, Morgan Stanley and UBS investment Bank. Kirstie has been in the industry since 1995 and started with the firm in 2008. She received her law degree from University of Glasgow.

Lara Osterhaus is Aegon Asset Management's global head of Real Assets responsible for strategic, operational management, and execution of debt and equity strategies. Lara serves as a manager on the Aegon USA Asset Management, Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC and Aegon USA Investment Management, LLC boards, and is chair of the Real Assets Investment Committee. Previously, she was head of US debt and served in a variety of leadership and commercial mortgage loan (CML) production roles in the platform. Prior to joining the CML production group, Lara was an asset manager in the special servicing group responsible for the successful resolution and disposition of troubled CMLs. Lara has been in the industry since and started with the firm in 1995. She received her BA in finance from the University of Northern Iowa.

Matt Hubbard is Aegon Asset Management's chief people officer responsible for leading the human resources function and for designing and implementing the people proposition that will retain, attract, develop and inspire employees in order to enable the firm's strategy. Matt has significant organisational transformation experience. Prior to joing Aegon AM, he worked at Lloyds Banking Group where he was people director for business & commercial banking and corporate & institutional banking. He previously held human resources leadership roles at Citi and Barclays, based in the UK, North America, Sweden and Singapore. Matt started his career as an officer in the British Army serving in multiple locations. Matt joined the firm in 2023. He has a masters in violence, conflict and development from SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), University of London, an MBA from Bayes Business School, London and completed the Business Sustainability Management programme at the University of Cambridge's Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

Mike Tumilty is Aegon Asset Management's chief operations officer responsible for the oversight of operations and IT departments. Prior to his current role, he was the global chief operating officer at abrdn. Prior to that he held several other senior roles at abrdn including director of operations, director of operations change & technology, head of investment operations and head of change management. Mike has been in the industry since 1994 and joined the firm in 2023. He holds a BA (hons) in economics from Heriot-Watt University.

Shawn Johnson is chief executive officer of Aegon Asset Management and a member of Aegon's Executive Committee. He joined the firm in September 2024. Shawn's career in the financial services industry spans over 25 years, most recently as CEO of AMP Capital, where he led the global asset manager through a strategic transformation. Prior to AMP Capital, Shawn founded Guidon Global LLC, an investment management and consulting firm. He had a 15-year tenure at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), where he served as SSGA's Investment Committee Chairman overseeing client assets and played a key role in guiding the firm's global investment strategies. Shawn's broad investment experience covers all asset classes including cash, fixed income, global equities, real estate, currencies, commodities, hedge funds and private equity. He is a former chair of the US Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC) and the Association of Institutional Investors'. He holds a MSc in electrical engineering from Virgina Tech and an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Stephen Jones is chief investment officer of Aegon AM's Fixed Income, Multi-Asset & Equities investment platforms. Before the integration of Aegon AM's regional businesses in February 2020 Stephen was European CIO, and before that was Joint Head of Fixed Income at Kames Capital. Stephen was previously an investment manager with Britannic Asset Management and before that was an Executive Director and Head of Debt Syndication at Greenwich NatWest. He has worked in the investment industry since 1990 and joined Aegon Asset Management in 2002. Stephen studied Law and Economics at the University of Newcastle. Stephen is executive sponsor of Aegon AM's Social Mobility Inclusion & Diversity Community.

Trudy Stassen was appointed Aegon Asset Management's global general counsel on March 1, 2024, and continues in her role as chief legal officer for Aegon AM NL. Her responsibilities include management of the global legal and regulatory team and all corporate legal, regulatory, and litigation matters impacting the organization. Prior to her current role, Trudy held several positions in the legal department of the firm: head of legal & regulatory in the NL, head of European legal practice groups and senior legal counsel. Before joining the firm, she worked in legal practice before going in-house as a legal counsel at ING. Trudy has been in the industry since 2004 bringing 20 years of experience in international finance and law and joined the firm in 2016. She holds an LLM (Master of Laws) and a master's degree in Dutch linguistics and literature, both from Leiden University. She also holds a post-graduate degree in notarial law from Radboud University as well as a post-graduate degree in financing and securities rights from Grotius Academ y.
