AJC - Key Persons
Abi started her career working for an independent roofing contractor where she decided to pursue a career as a Quantity Surveyor. She completed a HNC in 2019 and then moved to a medium-sized developer to enhance her experience and there completed a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying whilst working full time. Abi joined AJC in May of 2023 and is currently working towards a chartership with the RICS. In her spare time, Abi enjoys walking her dachshund, playing netball and spending time catching up with friends at the beach.

Manchester born Andrew started his career working for National Air Traffic Services and moved down to Dorset in the year 2000. He was keen on a career change so began studying Quantity surveying at Solent University. He received his degree in 2017 and commenced his career as a Quantity Surveyor with AJC Group in September 2017. Andrew works closely with all of our Site Managers and is present both in the office and on site. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys taking part in golf and squash.
Antonella is a lady of many skills and has been lucky enough to have worked in all different industries and several countries. Multilingual Antonella was born in Malta and came over to the UK in 2004. Antonella has now worked within finance for 10 years and joined the AJC Group in November 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys volley ball, golf and dancing and regularly takes part in national and international competitions.
Ben is our longest standing member of the team having joined us in 2014 as a Site Manager. Having started his career as a self-employed Carpenter, his role at AJC Group has seen him through some of our largest developments. Ben is a family man with 3 kids who in his spare time enjoys mounting biking.
Ben is our Head of Construction and Director of the company, overseeing the Commercial, Technical and Construction teams, along with managing Health & Safety across the business.
Ben started in the industry almost twenty years ago and has had exposure to every level of housebuilding, from labouring on sites as a boy to most recently Construction Director for Bloor Homes (Southern). Ben has a broad, practical knowledge of all forms of construction, and brings a wealth of experience to the team.
He worked for many years in management roles for national house builders, including Berkeley Homes (Southern), where he worked up from a Trainee Site Manager to a Regional Build Manager over a very successful 13 years.
From there, he was approached and offered Directorship with Bloor Homes (Southern) where he helped grow the Region by 50% over four years to become the largest, most profitable region in the country, whilst achieving 5-star HBF Customer Satisfaction accreditation.
Ben has a young son, and in his spare time his main passions include boating, snowboarding, golf, tennis and rugby.

Ben joins the Technical team as our new Technical Coordinator. Having gained his experience in Architecture, working for 6 years as a Technician on small scale residential projects through to housing association projects and everything in between, Ben brings his experience through into his new role with emphasis on architectural design and detailing.
Outside of work, Ben is either busy renovating his own home, walking his dog, running or at the gym.
Brad joined the AJC Group in January 2022 as one of our Assistant Site Managers, and quickly progressed to the Site Manager position.
After leaving school, Brad immediately joined the Construction industry as a Plasterer where he mastered all aspects of his trade. Following successfully completing an NVQ2 in Plastering, he took some time out to travel to Australia where he continued using the skills he had obtained. On his return to the UK he purchased his first house with a passion for building and renovating.
Having a desire to work within construction, Brad followed his passion and secured a role in Site Management with Drew Smith where he gained experience in metal frame, traditional and timber frame dwellings.

- Customer Care Co - Ordinator
Cherie joins us as our new Customer Care Co-ordinator having previously worked for McCarthy Stone for just over 4 years, a retirement developer in the Dorset region, looking after a large portfolio of developments.
Cherie relocated from Buckinghamshire to the South Coast in 2012 to be closer to family and in her spare time she enjoys going for walks along the beach, socialising with friends, cooking, as well as creative activities including photography and interior design.
Dustin has always lived in Dorset and started his career qualifying from college with a level 2 Diploma in Carpentry. He joined AJC Group in July 2017 and recently taken on the role of our Logistics Manager.
In his spare time, Dustin loves nothing more than tinkering with cars and taking them out on track days.

Elliot started his career in construction at Morgan Sindall as an apprentice where he experienced multiple areas of the business, mainly working on large commercial buildings. He took the next step his career and became a Commercial Coordinator, working on projects all over the country while completing a HNC in Quantity Surveying at Solent University.
He joins AJC Homes as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, working closely with the commercial team gaining knowledge and experience while working towards a degree in Construction Management at Solent University.
Elliot currently plays football for New Milton Town who compete in the Sydenhams Wessex League. If you can't find him on the pitch, he will be on the golf course.
Following his surveying diploma, Gennaro started his career in his hometown of Gravina in Puglia, Italy where he gained his technical knowledge during his trainee years. In 2013 the construction industry in that region became stagnant and Gennaro decided to expand his opportunities abroad. Later that year, Gennaro made the move to the UK and settled in Dorset where he started his English journey working in Catering whilst studying Surveying and English.
Following receiving his HNC Qualification in Quantity Surveying in 2016, he worked for a well-established residential and commercial developer. He now joins the AJC Commercial Team as a Quantity Surveyor.
Gennaro is a family man and loves nothing more than spending time with his wife and twin girls. He enjoys hosting dinner parties and taking part in Latin American dancing.

George started his career working in Retail before joining the AJC Group Team in May 2017. He has recently gained his NEBOSH qualification in Construction. George is a keen runner and enjoys any athletic based sport.
Hannah joined us in August 2018. She has always lived in Dorset and after leaving school studied at The Arts University College of Bournemouth and graduated with a National Diploma in Art and Design. Her working career started within retail where she spent time doing visual merchandising and progressing to management level. Hannah then went on to work for a premium car manufacturer where she gained 5 years' experience in customer service and administration. Her focus with us is to support business operations and provide outstanding customer service for new home owners. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys creative activities including photography and floristry.
Harry started his career working in multiple different customer service roles before pursuing a career in finance/accounts. He is currently starting to study for his AAT qualification to further progress his finance knowledge.
In his spare time, Harry enjoys various sports and activities including; Surfing, Football, Rock Climbing and Skateboarding.
Since graduating from Royal Holloway in 2019 with a Geography degree, Izzy has taken on a variety of roles within the property sector and over the last couple of years has explored her interest in land and planning. She carried out her initial training as a land buyer with a PLC and is now looking forward to building her experience with AJC and helping to see through some brilliant developments. In Izzy's spare time she enjoys keeping fit, socialising and spending time with her dog Nellie.
After leaving Bryanston School in 2006 Mark Relocated to Bristol where he attended University, and gained a Degree in Business and Finance, before returning to the South Coast. Marks entrepreneurial tendencies, negotiation ability and commercial mind enabled him to see a large gap and business opportunity in the local market when starting AJC Group. This has developed into a stronghold throughout Dorset and Hampshire and has been a catalyst for the expansion of the AJ Group. A keen Tennis player and Golfer, Mark will more often than not be found outdoors.
Michael's joins our Finance Team as our Management Accountant. Since coming over to UK in 2006 on a Trainee Management programme in the Retail industry, he was based in the midlands until he discovered how wonderful the south coast was and has lived here ever since.
His accounting career started in 2014 where Michael started working towards obtaining a professional qualification from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, which he achieved in 2020. Prior to joining AJC, he worked for McCarthy Stone as a Service Charge Accountant in the property management team looking after a portfolio of 100+ developments.
In his spare time Michael enjoys spending time with his family, walking and cycling.
Michael joined the AJC Group as our Construction Operations Manager, and advanced to Head of Construction. With almost 20 years of industry experience, his career has seen him through different roles across the industry.
His career began as an Apprentice Carpenter which later progressed to Trainee Quantity Surveyor and then Site Management for a small development company who specialised in housing schemes and care homes. He later joined Churchill Retirement Living where he successfully managed several large schemes and went onto win a NHBC Pride in the Job and the coveted Seal of Excellence in 2016.
Michael joined Bloor Homes in 2017 where he was promoted to Contracts Manager, overseeing large schemes across the Southern Region during a period of significant growth within the company.
With his wealth of experience, Michael brings invaluable technical, commercial and industry knowledge to his role at AJC Group.
Outside of his work, Michael enjoys golf, football and spending quality time with family and friends.
After a recent move to Dorset, Natalie joins us with a passion for administration and customer service. With a background in private equity and high-end hospitality, she looks forward to developing her knowledge of the construction industry.
Outside of work Natalie enjoys energetic activities with her young son and being the social secretary for her family and friends.
Neil joins the AJC team as our Senior Site Manager. Having left the Navy in 2013, Neil wanted to follow in his Dad's footsteps by having a career within construction.
His career has lead him to work on large construction projects throughout the south coast for Barratts, Persimmon and Bellway.
In his spare time, Neil enjoys spending nights away camping with his family.
Paul started working in the construction industry around 6 years ago as a logistics manager and quickly realized that this was the industry for him. So much so, he wishes he had started when he left school! He completed all his exams, up to NVQ level 6, within 3 years as he was really keen to reach site management level and pursue his career further.
Paul joined AJC after having worked as an assistant site manager on various high-profile commercial projects, travelling up and down the UK, for 5 years .
In his spare time, Paul enjoys spending time with his family who loving having him back at home more. He enjoys going to the gym, watching his son play golf or football and visiting his daughter at university.
Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998, training at Fiander Tovell, an independent accountancy practice in Southampton. He left there in 2000 in pursuit of a career in industry and has spent time working for a recruitment company, a pub company and a property investment business although the majority of his career was spent as Finance Director at Highwood Group, a Hampshire-based property development and construction company.
Paul joins AJC as Finance Director and takes on overall responsibility for all financial aspects within the business.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing golf, spending time with his family and going on long walks with his dog. He also enjoys watching most sports but particularly football, cricket and motorsport.

Sam Wright joins us as our new Technical Coordinator having worked for a number of developers and contractors in the Hampshire and Sussex region. Previous to her recent change to the Technical Department, Sam was a Site Manager for 5 years building on behalf of a number of housing associations on the South Coast and therefore brings a broad wealth of knowledge and practical experience to her role.
Outside of work, Sam spends most of her time either in a CrossFit gym or most recently, learning (and failing) to play golf with friends and family.
Seb Janes - Managing Director
Coming from an experienced Construction background, Seb left Twynham School in 2007, and went straight into the Construction Industry to learn and develop his understanding and knowledge of the built environment and its processes. Having spent time on Site building his practical skills and expertise, Seb is a credible and informed individual, with a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement within our Industry. In his spare time, Seb is a family man and enjoys completing fitness challenges.
Having gained 16 years of experience working within the public and private sectors, Simon joins the AJC Group as our Planning Director. His career has seen him work with national house builders and nearby local authorities. His role within AJC Group will be to expand our in house Planning Team and oversee more successful planning applications through to completion.
In his spare time, Simon enjoys long country walks with his partner Claire and his dog, Winston. He enjoys being active outdoors, playing golf and will be making the most of sea swimming from our new office.
Tarek joined us as a Technical Manager having an extensive knowledge within engineering, and quickly advanced to Head of Technical. His career started in civil engineering design and then progressed into technical management roles. Tarek has worked with some of the large development companies and principle contractors on both residential and commercial projects. He has a great passion for all aspects of construction, from scheme conception through to practical completion making him an integral member of the AJC Team.
In his down time Tarek enjoys a game of football, tennis and golf, and generally being active.
