Amco, previously known as Alcohol and Molasses Exports Ltd, had been set up in the early 1950's for the exports of excess molasses produced by the sugar industry... Amco also manages Coal Terminal Management Ltd (CTMC). CTMC is responsible for the procurement and logistics of coal for the Independent Power Procurers (IPPs) of the Mauritian Sugar Industry.
