BOOMER ESIASON FOUNDATION - Key Persons
<p style="font-weight: 400;">Chris McEwan joined the BEF team as an intern in 2012. Upon his graduation from New Paltz with a degree in Marketing and a minor in communications, Chris joined the team full time as a Program Assistant. Now the Director, Programs he works on all BEF patient & family assistance programs, as well as our patient centered programs. </p><p style="font-weight: 400;">Prior to joining BEF Chris was a marketing intern with Cumulus Media. Chris currently lives in Bronxville, NY with his wife, Alyssa and son, Camden. </p>

<p>Emma graduated from Villanova University in 2021, earning a bachelor's degree in Communications and a minor in Public Relations. Throughout her academic journey, Emma developed a strong understanding of effective communication strategies and honed her skills in crafting compelling messages.</p><p>After completing her studies, Emma embarked on her career at a communication agency as an assistant account executive known for its expertise in influencer marketing, public relations, and social media.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p><p>In the summer of 2022, Emma joined the team at BEF as the Director of Communications. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the organization's visibility and promote its mission. Emma resides in New York City.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Etsuko Murase has been with the Foundation since 2003. She oversees the day-to-day finances of the Foundation, as well as all accounts receivables and payables. She works closely with the accounting firm in Bethesda to put together complete and accurate financial information. She also manages the finances for the Empire Challenge Foundation, Inc. Prior to joining BEF, Etsuko worked in the retail industry for ten years. She previously managed the flagship store for the luxury leather goods company, Ghurka. Etsuko holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University. She resides in Manhasset, N.Y., with her husband, Ari, and their sons, Isaac and Caleb.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Grace joined the BEF team in the summer of 2023 as Manager of Communications and Team Boomer. In this role, Grace will plan, promote, and help execute numerous Team Boomer events as well as develop comprehensive communication strategies to uphold the organization's mission. </p><p dir="ltr">Grace graduated from the University of Richmond in 2023, with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. During her time at the Robins School of Business, she advanced her marketing and overall business skills. </p><p dir="ltr">In addition, Grace was a member of the varsity women's lacrosse team at the University of Richmond and helped lead her team to the Atlantic 10 Championship and a NCAA sweet sixteen appearance. She will use these experiences to aid and connect with Team Boomer and BEF athletes. </p><p dir="ltr">Grace resides in Rumson, New Jersey.</p>

<p>Originally from the Washington, D.C., area, Tami has been an integral part of BEF since 1990. Prior to joining Boomer, Tami worked for ProServ in Washington, D.C., and was part of the Volvo Tennis Event Program. Tami graduated from the University of Maryland in 1986 with degrees in public relations and journalism and a minor in African-American studies. Tami resides in New York City.</p>
