Building renovation is one of the current big challenges of the construction sector, which would improve the sustainability of existing structures, in terms of energy and emission savings and, as a consequence, would reduce the overall energy and CO2 emissions accounting in the building sector... The use of BIM platforms for deep renovation projects represents an innovative solution for efficient management and use of the project information, providing a significant workflow optimization, and ensuring interoperability with other tools in order to make the decision making processes more efficient... The development of a BIM platform including methodologies and tools to be used in deep renovation projects is the main goal of the Horizon2020 research project "BIMSPEED"
