Bligh's Lane Nursery School opened in 1979 and is situated in its own grounds in Lower Creggan. In the summer of 2001, the school obtained funding from the Londonderry Initiative for Refurbishment Purposes and had a major overhaul, both in the indoor and outdoor areas. The school has also had a modern extension in 2018 and the children now enjoy a bright, stimulating, colourful and safe environment in which to play and learn.
