Students learn important foundations to improve their cello skills, gain insight into musical structures and styles, and build confidence in their performance level. Through a good balance of encouragement and challenge, each student will receive personal guidance... Based in Boston Dr. Cherry Kim has taught cello for 20 years. Her goal to guide her students to become thoughtful, communicative musicians and her passion for music shows through her teaching. Her students have won auditions to participate in the Massachusetts district and state orchestras. Dr. Kim is also a chamber music faculty at the Lexington Chamber Music Center and teaches for the Brookline schools. And previously she taught at the ArtsAhimsa Music Festival, Camp Encore/Coda, Winchester Community Music School's Summer Chamber Music Festival, non-major cello students at Rice University and Boston University,..
