Carisma was created with motor fleets in mind. The company founders started R&D activities in earnest in early 2021. In late 2022, the company became an Enterprise Ireland High Potential Start-Up. It lodged its application with the Central Bank in 2023, backed by a select number of investors, obtaining its licence to operate as both a domestic and international non-life re/insurance intermediary by the Central Bank of Ireland in February 2024. With offices in Dublin and Westmeath, its ambition is to extend the benefit of traditional underwriting and fleet risk management to new mobility actors.
