Derek M. Tubbs

Derek is an Associate Portfolio Manager and the Vice President of Institutional Development for CornerCap. He joined in 2013 with over 16 years of institutional investor experience and is a non-voting member of the investment committee. His primary responsibility is to expand CornerCap's reach with institutional investors. Prior to joining CornerCap, Derek was a Senior Relationship Manager with a $15 billion equity team at Wells Capital Management where he was the primary point of contact for the largest, most sophisticated and most complicated institutional clients. Derek started his investment career in 1996 and spent the next 12 years in institutional sales with both CIBC World Markets (formerly Oppenheimer) and Prudential Equity Group. He has an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and earned his BA with honors from Texas A&M University.

J. Cannon Carr - CEO

Cannon became Chief Executive Officer in June 2020 after thirteen years as the firm's Chief Investment Officer. Since joining the firm in 2007, he's led the firm's investment committee and oversaw the firm's investment strategies and process, stock and asset class research, and portfolio management. He also co-manages the three CornerCap mutual funds (Small Cap Value, Large Cap Value, and Balanced). Prior to joining CornerCap, Cannon was a senior equity analyst at CIBC World Markets (formerly Oppenheimer), covering IT business services (2006-07), wireless services (2001-05), and emerging telecom (1998-05). Cannon has provided commentary on CNBC, CNN, Lou Dobbs MoneyLine, and Bloomberg News. He has also been quoted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Fortune, among other publications. He was rated a five-star analyst by Zachs Research in 2006. Cannon has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Princeton University in Political Economy. Public service is important to Cannon. He heads the investment committee for the Wesleyan College endowment, serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for the Center for Ethics at Emory University, and is President-Elect of the Atlanta Rotary Club. He is a past Board member of the Technical College System of Georgia Foundation and also currently serves as Chair of the Georgia Tennis Foundation, among other nonprofit endeavors.

Jackie Wilson

Jackie brings nearly 30 years' experience to her role and is recognized by clients and colleagues alike for her commitment to superior client service. Jackie has spent much of her career focusing on high-level banking and strategic operations, which has afforded her a strong background for working with institutions. Prior to joining CornerCap Wealth Advisors, Jackie worked at SunTrust Bank, where she provided accounting support to more than 100 private foundations. This work fueled Jackie's passion for helping nonprofit organizations succeed in their endeavors. Jackie earned her BBA in Finance from Georgia State University and an AA in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University.

Jeffrey P. Moeller

Jeff is CornerCap's Director of Research, overseeing the day-to-day execution of FundametricsĀ® and research of the firm's investment products. He is a member of the investment committee and a Portfolio Manager. He comanages the three CornerCap mutual funds (Small Cap Value, Large/Mid Cap Value, and Balanced). Jeff joined CornerCap in 2000 and served as the firm's trader for three years. He returned in 2004 as a research analyst. Jeff is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Atlanta. He has a BS in Finance from Oklahoma State University.

John A. Hackney, III - Chief Compliance Officer

John is Chief Compliance Officer and Operations Manager of CornerCap Investment Counsel. John and his staff's broad responsibilities include administering CornerCap's compliance with federal and state regulatory authorities, and maintaining and reporting accurate client account data. Prior to joining the firm in 1995, John worked in risk management at an Atlanta broker/dealer. John has a BA from the University of Virginia and an MAR from Yale Divinity School.

Joshua G. Tucker

Josh is a Research Analyst and a member of the investment committee. He leads the investment team's international quantitative research effort and supports the quant and fundamental research efforts of the domestic strategies. He joined CornerCap in January 2014 after completing a research internship with the firm in 2013. Josh holds an MBA from Scheller College of Business at Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Mississippi State University. Prior to business school, Josh worked as a research associate where he was responsible for individual stock analysis as well as macroeconomic research. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Atlanta.

Kevin Keeney - CTO

Kevin Keeney is Vice President of Information Technology and the Chief Technology Officer for CornerCap. In this role, Kevin manages the technology strategy for CornerCap and leads the development of software used in research. Prior to joining CornerCap, Kevin acted as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer at a national consumer credit organization. Kevin has also managed a team of consultants in enterprise technology as Vice President of Enterprise Applications at Innovative Architects. Kevin is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo (Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering) and Purdue University (Master of Science, Mechanical Engineering) where he focused on machine learning to optimize energy storage in response to market prices.

Thomas E. Quinn - CFO, Chairman

Tom is Chairman of the Board and CFO of CornerCap, a member of the investment committee and President and Treasurer of the CornerCap Group of Funds. Tom co-founded CornerCap in 1989 following the leveraged buy out of RJR Nabisco. His previous positions included being Chief Investment Officer of RJR Investment Management, Inc., the investment advisory subsidiary of RJR Nabisco, and a consultant for Arthur Andersen & Co. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Atlanta. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Throughout his career, Tom has prioritized community service and remained close to his North Carolina roots. Tom holds multiple finance- and investment-related leadership roles within the Midtown Atlanta Rotary Club Foundation, Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, Episcopal Church Investment Group and the Alliance for Christian Media/Day1. Additionally, he is a Trustee and chairman of the investment committee of Barton College, where 40% of students today are the first in their family to seek a college degree - an initiative Tom is proud to support. He has an MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
