Chad's passion for finance started at an early age, and eventually led to a degree in Finance from the University of Northern Colorado. After launching his career with Morgan Stanley as a Retirement Planning Specialist, Chad's industry experience evolved guiding him toward an independent advisor role. In this role, he can offer his clients the best, non-biased, cutting-edge solutions for their financial needs. When Chad isn't helping clients, he's spending time with his family - his wife Mindy and two sons Riley and Dresden. Time with family often includes supporting his son Dresden during his wrestling practices and tournaments and cheering his son Riley on at lacrosse fields throughout the country. Chad and his family also enjoy golf, biking, traveling, time outdoors and playing with their dog Zinn.

David McBride

David McBride | Founder of McBride & Associates, P.C. David McBride is founder and president of McBride & Associates, P.C. where he practices in estate planning, trusts and wills, business planning, probate, and bankruptcy. Mr. McBride took his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He has studied law at the University of Oklahoma College of Law and at Queen's College, Oxford, England. During his legal education, Mr. McBride was honored with numerous scholarly awards for his academic achievements and his superb legal writing skills including the Harry Alley-Leroy Allen Prize, the Frank C. Love Memorial Scholarship, ASCAP/Nathan Burken Memorial Prize, and the American Jurisprudence Award for International Law. He was also a member of the Oklahoma Law Review and served as an editor.Over the last 25+ years his skills and expertise have been in high demand for both his clients and other attorneys alike. He regularly speaks to church and civic groups on trusts and estate planning. He also teaches educational seminars in probate and estate planning to other attorneys and legal professionals. He lives in Edmond with his wife and son.

Derek Colton - President

As best selling author and long-time host of the Safe Money Radio Show and President and Founder of Cornerstone Retirement Solutions, Derek Colton has enjoyed helping clients from all walks of life protect and grow their hard-earned retirement money. Derek likes to "brag" that as a layman, he made every investing mistake known to man-some of them many times. As a young man, these costly mistakes inspired Derek to educate himself on the intricacies of the financial markets and the pros and cons of various financial products and investment strategies. Wanting to do what he could to help others avoid the investing blunders he made early on, Derek founded Cornerstone Retirement Solutions, a retirement and investment planning firm. This gives Derek the opportunity to use his experience to assist his clients in planning, sustaining and enjoying a secure retirement. Some of the strategies Derek employs will allow for the potential of significant gains to one's portfolio without the risks typically associated with the stock market. A risk some of his clients would rather do without. ​Derek, his wife of 39 years, Penny, and their 5 daughters (yes, 5 daughters!), 4 sons-in-law and 6 grandchildren (and counting) make their home in Edmond, Oklahoma where they are active members of Henderson Hills Baptist Church.

Katelyn Garcia

Katelyn Garcia is our Operations Manager which covers a multitude of critical details of our organization. Katelyn is responsible for managing both the operations process, planning, and control; and operations strategy. People often say, "Don't sweat the small stuff." Well, someone has to, and Katelyn is trustworthy in taking care of all the details so our clients have a great experience. Katelyn and her husband, Colton, make their home in Edmond, Oklahoma where they are members of Henderson Hills Baptist Church. Colton proudly serves in the United States Army National Guard. Katelyn and Colton have a 2-year-old son, Derek Jay (DJ) whom they named after Katelyn's dad, Derek Jay Colton. They also just welcomed a baby girl, Sophia. Katelyn is a person that will actually admit that she likes to watch TV and describes herself as an old soul, enjoying the simplicity of being a wife and mother.

Kevin Calvey

Kevin Calvey was raised in Oklahoma City. His late father, Harry Calvey, was the OKC branch manager for Tulsa-based Vinson Supply Company, an oilfield supply firm. His mother, Mary Jane Calvey, is an epidemiologist and civic leader. Kevin was a National Merit Scholar at Bishop McGuinness High School, and was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to the University of Dallas, where he graduated cum laude. He went on to attain his law degree at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and then moved home to Oklahoma to practice law. He was admitted to practice law before the Oklahoma Supreme Court and the federal Western District of Oklahoma in 1994, and founded his own law practice that same year. Kevin served 12 years in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and was recently elected as the new Oklahoma County Commissioner for District 3. While in the Legislature, at age 37, when the Iraq War began, Kevin applied for a commission in the Army National Guard, where he served from 2003-2012. He left the Legislature in 2006 and was deployed to Iraq in 2007, during the troop Surge. His mission in Iraq was to prosecute al Qaeda leaders and other terrorists in the Iraqi court system, at an Iraqi courthouse in a hostile fire zone outside any U.S. base. Kevin coordinated with Special Operations units, the FBI, and other agencies to develop cases on high-value detainees and to arrange for expedited court hearings and presentation of sensitive material. The Army awarded Kevin the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Iraq. He was also awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for his service in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Kevin practices law in Oklahoma City, with an emphasis on estate planning and asset protection, business planning and non-profit planning, and real estate. He has litigated several reported cases before the Oklahoma. Supreme Court and federal Western District of Oklahoma. He has provided volunteer legal services for several nonprofits including the USS Oklahoma City Park Association; Gospel of Life Association; several pregnancy resource centers; St. John Bosco School; and pro bono services for clients referred by YWCA battered women's shelter. ​Kevin and his wife, Toni, reside in Oklahoma City with their six children, including newborn Cecilia.

Nikki Muse

As team specialist, Nikki Muse is responsible for client outreach, marketing administration and technical support. Prior to coming on board at Cornerstone Retirement, Nikki spent several years in the technology sector as a representative for two of the major cell carriers. During this time, Nikki gained valuable experience in the areas of customer service and electronic and technical problem solving. While Team Specialist is her primary job function by day, Nikki adores being a wife and mother.

Skylar Anderson

Edmond native Skylar Anderson is a graduate of Baylor University and holds a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Seminary. After spending several years helping to start churches in North Carolina and Colorado, Skylar moved his family back to his Edmond to pursue a career as an advisor at Cornerstone Retirement Solutions. He and his wife, Meredith, have three sons -- Benjamin, Samuel, and Josiah -- and they're active members at Bridgeway Church in Oklahoma City. In addition to their family time together, Meredith loves volunteering at church and the boys' schools, and Skylar devotes most of his free time to Baylor Sports, the Denver Broncos, and BBQ.
