Johanna Tengan

Johanna Tengan started dancing in her hometown Zaventem in Belgium. She pursued a professional education at ArtEZ university of the arts in Arnhem, The Netherlands. Upon leaving school she collaborated with choreographers Ann Van den Broek and Marina Mascarell. She then went on to join Mute Comp. physical theatre where she worked with Kasper Ravnhøj. Johanna also developed her own work in several residency spaces and has been supported by Dansateliers Rotterdam and Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art. Besides dance Johanna enjoys reading and has a great interest in music. Johanna Tengan joined Cullberg season 2019/2020.

João Dinis Pinho

João Dinis Pinho (he/him) was born in Porto, Portugal and started his dance journey at Ginasiano Escola de Dança (PT), leading to a BA in Dance at ArtEZ (NL). In 2023, he graduated from an MA in Arts and Culture (Comparative Cultural Analysis) at the University of Amsterdam (NL). In 2016 he started a freelance career, performing in multiple projects, with Arno Schuitemaker, Meyer-Chaffaud, Gerben Vaillant, among others. He created multiple performances in collaborations in Portugal, The Netherlands, Iceland and Mexico, with Busca-Pólo, Baby Skin and Julia Barrios de la Mora. The role of repetiteur first happened in his internship with Nicole Beutler Projects, in the performance "6:The Square." Since then, a long a fruitful collaboration unfolded with Nicole Beutler, working as a rehearsal director, tour manager and occasional performer in performances such as 8:Metamorphosis, OUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE, and GINKGO, among many others. Shifting to other roles, João has initiated a residency program at ArtEZ (NL), where he has also worked as a guest teacher in choreography and composition, and AHK (NL). He was a guest curator of the performance festival Come Together #5, at Frascati Amsterdam (NL), and a moderator at festivals such as Súbito (PT) and EmPressão (PT). He regularly collaborates as a choreographic guide with Instável Centro Coreográfico (PT), where he was also a member of the mediation think tank project "EmVolvimento." João has been the recipient of multiple funds and scholarships, from Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (PT), Fundação GDA (PT) and Amsterdam Fonds voor de Kunsten (NL).

Kristine Slettevold

Kristine Slettevold was born 1978 in Tønsberg, Norway. She is educated at Khio and the School of Contemporary Dance in Oslo. Kristine Slettevold has worked as a freelance dancer since 2001 with choreographers such as Cristina Caprioli, Jefta van Dinther and Hooman Sharifi. In addition to her work as a dancer, Kristine has been employed as a senior lecturer in dance at Stockholm University of the Arts since 2010 with assignments as program manager for the bachelor's program in dance and as head of the same department. As of July 1, 2022 Kristine Slettevold is the Artistic Director of Cullberg.

Lilian Steiner

Lilian Steiner is an Australian dancer and choreographer. Her practice champions the deep intelligence of the body and its unique ability to reveal and comment on the complexities of contemporary humanity. Her interests extend into experimental sound and visual design practices where the body is the base for questioning and expression. Since graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts, Bachelor of Dance program in 2010, Lilian has worked as a major performer/collaborator and toured extensively with Melbourne-based company, Lucy Guerin Inc., and occupied the role of Resident Director with the company in 2021-22. She has also worked on multiple projects with choreographers Phillip Adams (Balletlab), Melanie Lane, Shelley Lasica and Brooke Stamp, as well as with numerous artists working with live performance and film in the fields of visual arts, experimental sound and architecture/design. Lilian's own choreographic work has been presented within Australia and internationally. Australian presentations include for FRAME Biennial, Gertrude Contemporary (solo exhibition), Chunky Move Activator's commissioning program, Dancehouse Melbourne, Dance Massive, Sydney Dance Company's New Breed program, the Keir Choreographic Award, BLEED Festival, Next Wave Festival, Melbourne Now (National Gallery Victoria), FAUX MO at MONA FOMA (Hobart), Cantos at Collingwood House, The Sophia Club, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Lucy Guerin Inc.'s Pieces for Small Spaces. International presentations include at Rencontres Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis (Paris), B.Motion Danza (Bassano del Grappa), Homo Novus Festival (Riga), Deltebre Dansa (Deltebre), Les Plateaux de la Briqueterie (Paris), Fête de la Musique (Geneva), Festival Constellations (Toulon), Sounds and Visions Festival (Barbican Centre, London) & Hong Kong International Choreography Festival (Hong Kong). Lilian received the Green Room Award for Best Performer in 2023, and Best Female Dancer in both 2017 and 2018, as well as the Helpmann Award in 2017. Her work Noise Quartet Meditation received the 2015 Green Room Award for Concept and Realisation. Lilian joined Cullberg season 2023/2024.

Stina Dahlström - Managing Director

Managing director Stina Dahlström was born in 1982 in Kiruna. Together with artistic director Kristine Slettevold she leads the company since 2016. Stina Dahlström has a degree in literature, dance and theater studies, economics and project management from Stockholm University. In 2007-2016, Stina Dahlström was active in various roles on the international co-production platform and stage MDT on Skeppsholmen in Stockholm. She is also one of the initiators of the national network Tour de Dance.
