Brian Muirie - VP of Sales

Brian has been with the business for 14 years and is responsible for overseeing the company generator sales and business development function across the UK, with a particular focus on non-solutions projects, direct and trade sales, as well as framework contracts.

Chris Connors

Job Titles:

  • Project Sales Director
Based in the Midlands, Chris is focussed on building our business throughout England and Wales. He has worked in the power generation sector for more than 25 years with tenures in both national and international senior technical sales roles. His project experience includes a multi-megawatt, high voltage, generator installation for numerous generator projects across the finance and data centre markets.

Donna Blackhall

Donna has worked for DTGen since the very beginning in 2004. As our Office Manager, she is responsible for our front-of-house administration team, HR and recruitment for the business, whilst ensuring the smooth running of the office on a day-to-day basis.

Donnie MacDonald

Our most senior project manager with more than 35 years of experience in the generator industry, Donnie, supports and mentors our group of project managers, solutions engineers, and installation team members throughout the country. Donnie is involved in the delivery of both large and small solution projects. He has a sharp eye for detail and is always ready to take on new challenges.

Gordon Kerr - CFO

Gordon, who is a chartered accountant, has a professional financial career spanning more than 30 years and joined DTGen to support our plans to expand nationally.

Jim Sweeney - COO

Having managed, owned and operated a power generation businesses serving the global oil and gas industry for more than 20 years, Jim decided to relocate back to Scotland and joined DTGen in 2019. Initially joining as Project Manager, Jim has now moved to the role of Operations Director, in order to support future growth and long-term succession planning for the business

John Kinstrie

John leads our energy solutions division which specialises in turnkey energy solutions for our customers. From initial energy modelling to project delivery and lifetime service, John leads and manages the teams involved. John is also involved in our diesel solution projects and currently manages our team of application engineers. He joined the business in 2007 straight from school and started as an apprentice. He now holds various qualifications in electrical engineering, management and business strategy.

John Skinner

John joined the team to help drive the growth of our temporary power and fuel management business. He has 25 years' experience, from running a fleet of lorries and tankers as transport manager to running a workshop with more than 630 generators. With his help, we have invested heavily in our temporary power and fuel management service, and will continue to do so. He is also responsible for our large and growing vehicle fleet.

Paul Moore - Chairman

Paul started Dieselec Generators with just three employees and subsequently grew the business to £7m turnover before partnering with Nevis Capital and merging with Thistle Generators. As Managing Director he oversaw the double-digit growth of DTGen and achieved listings with Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and Scottish Business Insider's SME300 as well as Regional Finalist in Ernst & Young Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Paul moved to the role of chairman in 2020.
