Jacqueline Lytle

Job Titles:
  • Director of Interiors
Jacqueline's 25+ years of experience as an interior designer and project manager follow completing her degree at the Boston Architectural College in Interior Design. Having worked on a variety of interiors project types, including small and large corporate offices, courtrooms, biotech and medical facilities, as well as hotels and numerous residential projects, Jacqueline enjoys collaborating on projects both public and private, from programming to installation. She is facile at projects that are solely Interiors and also at weaving interiors into a larger architectural scope. Jacqueline's work has been published in California Homes, Interiors Magazine, and Architectural Digest.

Jaine Lewis

Job Titles:
  • Office Administrator
Jaine received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montana State University in 1994 and moved to Jackson shortly thereafter. Over the course of 30 years, she has worked as a graphic designer, bookkeeper, marketing assistant, collection manager and librarian before joining Dynia Architects in 2023.

Jan Marie Hobart

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Experience Jan Marie grew up in a small Mississippi River town called Dallas City, Illinois. After graduation, she moved to Jackson, WY and waited tables for fun and profit. In the 1980's she attended Sheridan College and in the 1990's she became a massage therapist with her own business called ‘The Key Element'. Later, the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust, a local non-profit affordable housing business, hired her as their office manager. After twelve gratifying years helping people buy affordable homes, she delved into another aspect of the housing business at Dynia Architects. She has been overseeing the daily workings of both the Jackson and Denver offices for the past 8 years.

Jasen Domanico

Job Titles:
  • Designer, Writer
Jasen Domanico is a designer, writer, and fabricator whose area of interest is centered on exploring formal and geometrical relationships and their impact at a building and urban scale. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and a Master of Architecture from Princeton University where his thesis, "Get in Line", won the Suzanne Kolarik Underwood Prize. Jasen was also awarded the Norman D. Kurtz '58 Fund for Innovation in Engineering Education for his work in and around abandoned rail-line infrastructure. His extensive knowledge of digital and traditional fabrication techniques, coupled with a proficiency in developable geometry, has allowed him to lead multiple fabrication spaces across disciplines and resulted in the success of "Circumvolute 00," a design object that was featured in the Model Behavior Show by Log at the Cooper Union in New York City and Log 56: The Model Behavior Exhibition. Jasen recently relocated to Denver, CO, where he intends to continue his research and further explore his design aspirations.

Karen Parent

Karen Parent received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College and a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University. In 1996, Karen moved to Jackson Hole, inspired by the opportunity to make a positive contribution to its quickly changing built environment and has been a licensed architect since 2002. In 2007, she founded a non-profit organization with the goal of providing accessible architecture education and currently teaches semester-long architecture classes at the Jackson Hole Community School. Karen combines her efforts as an architect and a teacher to foster positive change in our collective built environment. She has also served on the board of directors of the Jackson Hole Land Trust for eight (8) years and was a member of the Town of Jackson's Design Review Committee for fifteen (15) years. Karen is a principal and one of the original members of Dynia Architects.

Kathy Kline

Job Titles:
  • Interior Designer
Experience Kathy brings, to each project she is involved with, a passion for design incorporating her modernist design approach and influence gathered throughout her 25 years of experience. Being an integral part of a design team with the ultimate goal of providing a client a unified end result is what drives Kathy's passion for Interior Design. Kathy grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and attended the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, earning a BFA in Interior Design. After working in commercial and residential design in Seattle and Jackson Hole, Kathy joined Dynia Architects in the winter of 2018. Being involved in the Jackson Hole community is paramount to Kathy, as it is her hometown and a place that offers many unique opportunities to contribute her time and education. She is an active volunteer on the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole Competitive Grants Committee, awarding grants that positively impact the community. Kathy also enjoys volunteering her design skills as well when needed, recently completing new conference and office spaces for Teton County Search and Rescue.

Marshall Reilly

Marshall earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture from the University of Colorado, Denver. In school, Marshall enjoyed opportunities to work as a teaching assistant for numerous design studio courses, and as a research assistant supporting a variety of speculative projects. During his graduate studies, Marshall received a certificate in Design Build where the team of students developed and built a research station on Livingston Island, Antarctica to support NOAA scientists researching the health of our oceans. Following a few visits to Colorado and instantly enthralled by the mountains, he moved to Denver in 2019 from Las Vegas where he spent 6 years as an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force.

Olivia (Olive) Collier

Olivia Collier, also known by her nickname Olive, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Architecture at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), with a minor in Dance, and her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Colorado, Denver. While attending CU Denver, Olive was a student of the 2019/2020 ColoradoBuildingWorkshop (CBW) and received a Design Build Certificate. Her CBW 2020 Design Build project ‘Auraria Bike Pavilions' received the AIA Colorado Design Award of Merit (2020), the Architizer A+ Awards, ‘Architecture + Community' and ‘Architecture + Stone' (2020). During her time as a CBW student, Olive found a love for building, welding, and fabrication design. While at CU Denver, Olive received a travel scholarship to Denmark in 2022, where she focused her studies on harbor-front revitalization, urban planning, and sustainable design. Olive's interest in sustainability was a catalyst for her senior thesis project, where she conceived of a new building façade cladding product made from end-use waste tires in landfills. Her recycled rubber cladding project received the Colorado Green Building Guild (CBGB) ‘Student Project of the Year', and national media recognition. She and her project partner are continuing research & development of their concept post-graduate school, and are on track for patent submittal in 2024.

Shannon Newberry

Shannon received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Miami. While attending Miami, she served as a Dean's Fellow, designed high-end residential projects, and worked as a research assistant developing the newest era of seawalls to be implemented around the city and island communities that are actively facing the threat of rising sea levels and climate change. She was awarded thesis of the year for her master's project that focused on inflatable design and women's inequities within public space. She also received the Alpha Rho Chi Medal for leadership, personality, and attitude. Before working at Dynia, Shannon worked primarily on institutional architecture projects such as schools and government buildings.

Stephen Dynia

Stephen is the firm's Design Director Experience Stephen Dynia, FAIA, founded Dynia Architects in 1994 with the mission of creating architecture that elevates the built environment from the ordinary to the exceptional, through a rigorous design process that choreographs site and program. The work is inspired by the phenomena of nature, responsive to context, fueled by innovation, and engaged in society and the culture of place. His inventive, modern designs connect interior space with landscape and his dynamic public spaces connect buildings with community. Dynia received degrees in Fine Arts and Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design. That arts-centric education instilled the poetic potential of combining the power of ideas with the reality of building - from concept to craft at all scales. Prior to the founding of his firm in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where the focus is on designing private residences, Dynia was a senior designer in the New York office of Skidmore Owings & Merrill, working on large mixed-use projects in the US and abroad. With the desire to re-engage in large commercial projects, in 2007 he opened a second studio in Denver. Dynia Architects' residential, commercial, and institutional work has been recognized with over 40 design awards as well as 2008 Wyoming firm of the year from the American Institute of Architects. They have been widely published in books, magazines, digital media, and Stephen has presented his work at design conferences nationally. Stephen Dynia was admitted to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in 2013. In 2017 he was presented with the Silver Medal, Wyoming's highest honor which recognizes contributions to the American Institute of Architects, the practice of architecture and the communities in which he works through his design leadership.
