DANNY GOLDMAN

Danny is Partner at the Elah Fund. Danny was CFO/VP Finance of the IMC/Iscar Group, a Berkshire Hathaway portfolio company. Danny led IMC/Iscar in its most crucial decisions and all global M&A activities. Danny joined Iscar at $29 million in sales with three subsidiaries and helped grow sales to $4 billion with 177 subsidiaries. He was the architect of the 2-phase acquisition of IMC/Israel and worked for Berkshire Hathaway for a decade after the sale. Warren Buffett said that Danny is "incredible," (WSJ, 4/2012) and "a brilliant strategist and operator." Danny also led investments and served as a director of numerous companies on behalf of the Wertheimer family. He was Chairman of Stef Wertheimer's Foundation for Education, Work and Entrepreneurship for Industry. Danny is a dedicated teacher of business and negotiation to high school students and serves on the Board of Leo Baeck High School. He holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from Haifa University and is a qualified CPA in Israel.

Lew Ranieri

Lew has been an Elah Fund Advisor and LP since its origin. He brings decades of illustrious deal making and investing experience to the Elah team. Lew is Founder and Chairman of Ranieri Solutions LLC which is focused on financial services and the use of cognitive technologies. He serves as Chairman and Senior Managing Partner of Ranieri Partners LLC, an advisor and manager of private investments. He was Vice Chairman of Salomon Brothers, Inc. and is generally considered to be the "father" of the securitized mortgage market. Lew helped develop the capital markets as a source of funds for housing and commercial real estate, established Salomon's leadership position in the mortgage-backed securities area, and also led the effort to obtain federal legislation to support and build the market. In November 2004, BusinessWeek magazine named him one of "the greatest innovators of the past 75 years," and in 2005, he received the Distinguished Industry Service Award from the American Securitization Forum. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Northwell Health Medical Center and is active in the charities of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Scott Shay

Scott is the Founding Chairman of the Elah Fund. Scott was a co-Founder and the Executive Chairman at Signature Bank. He was also a Founding Director in Home Partners of America sold to the Blackstone Group for $6B in 2021. Scott has been Managing Director/Partner of Ranieri Strategies LLC and its predecessors ("Ranieri") since 1988 and has been involved in the investment banking and venture capital industries since 1980. Prior to joining Ranieri Partners, he served as a director and senior member of the M&A department of Salomon Brothers, Inc. From 1997 to 2005, Scott served as a director of Bank Hapoalim BM, Israel's leading bank; and from 1988 to 2001, Scott served as a director of Bank United Corp., Texas. He was a Founding Director of Super Derivatives, which was sold to ICE in what was then the largest foreign acquisition of an Israeli financial technology company. Scott is a thought leader in the American Jewish community. He is the author of three books focused on issues imperative to the Community and is a frequent speaker and editorialist on the subjects. He has started a Hebrew school, an adult educational program, and chaired and served on numerous programs and boards. Scott holds a BA from Northwestern University (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MBA (Distinction) from Kellogg Northwestern.
