After working as an Associate in another law firm for 8 years, Atty Tara George decided it was time to serve clients in a manner that reflected her personal values, compassion and professional ethical standards. In September 2013, she opened the Law Offices of Tara M. George in her hometown and lifelong residence of Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Tara is a 1999 graduate of Dartmouth High School, a 2003 B.A. recipient from the University of Connecticut and earned a Jurist Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts School of Law at Dartmouth in 2006. A member of both the Federal Bar and Bristol County Bar Associations, Atty George was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2006. Tara focuses her practice on the areas of Bankruptcy, Divorce, Probate, Workers' Compensation, Drafting of Wills and Estates and Auto Accidents. Atty George has lengthy Bankruptcy experience, from document creation to court appearances. Tara's love of her hometown is reflected in her spirit of volunteerism. She is a current Dartmouth Public Library Trustee, helping to keep the library operating on an even keel, and a member of the Dartmouth Library Foundation, working to improve and increase resources and services of the 118 year-old town library system. Tara is also a Dartmouth Town Meeting Member. Family is one of the most important elements of Tara's life. Atty George embraces lessons she learned from the business conduct of her grandparents-sincerity, integrity, hard work, and caring for others as you would hope they would care for you.
