Dr. Alison Edge

Dr. Edge grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and Chatham, Massachusetts. She earned her bachelor's degree in physics at Connecticut College in 1995, and then went on to pursue a master's degree in engineering physics at the University of Virginia. It was during her time there that she adopted her first dog, Jefferson, and began volunteering at a small animal hospital as well as an equine hospital. These experiences led to her decision that her true calling was veterinary medicine. She earned her DVM degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2003. During her senior year, Dr. Edge was inducted into the national veterinary honor society, Phi Zeta, and was honored with several awards including the American Animal Hospital Association senior student award for excellence in small animal medicine and surgery. Also during her senior year, Dr. Edge spent a 4-week clerkship at Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital. Shortly after graduation, she joined the staff full time. She loves living and working in Annapolis and feels very fortunate to have developed so many wonderful relationships with her clients and patients over the years. Dr. Edge sees exotic mammals in addition to dogs and cats. She has a special interest in ultrasound and through continuing education has earned certification in advanced abdominal ultrasonography. Since the birth of her daughter in 2007, Dr. Edge is on a part-time schedule. She currently resides in Annapolis with her veterinarian husband, as well as their daughter, son and 2 cats. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, sailing, and the occasional round of golf.

Dr. Caroline Palmer

Dr. Caroline Palmer has earned her certification in Fear Free medicine. Dr. Caroline Palmer joins Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital from Athens, GA where she graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. Palmer received her undergraduate degree in both Pre-Veterinary Medicine and Animal Biosciences and Agriculture and Natural Resources from the University of Delaware. When Dr. Palmer isn't treating her patients, she can be found hiking with her coonhound Winnie, painting, traveling abroad, or watching a Georgia Bulldogs Football game with her boyfriend.

Dr. Cordo Jorch

Dr. Jorch grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut and Oxford, Maryland. She completed her BA in History from Georgetown University in 2005. After completing her undergraduate degree and realizing that her childhood dream of being a veterinarian was her true calling, she spent two years working as a research assistant and summer junior sailing program director while completing pre veterinary coursework. Dr. Jorch received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2011. Then she completed a one year rotating small animal internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, DC. Dr. Jorch and her husband moved to Maryland in 2012 where she practiced in Calvert County for several years before joining Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital in 2017. Dr. Jorch resides in Annapolis with her husband and two rescue dogs, Gia and Bella. Outside of work she enjoys sailing, travelling, and spending time with friends, family, and her two horses Beau and Piney.

Dr. Eileen Manyin

Dr. Manyin grew up near Mount Vernon, Virginia as part of a military family. She earned her undergraduate degree in biology and pre-med in 1986 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. After a year of pharmacology research at Cornell University, she entered the Cornell Veterinary School and attained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. She completed externships in avian and zoo medicine at the San Francisco Zoo and aquatic medicine at Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Dr. Manyin has been practicing at Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital since 1992. She especially enjoys working with exotic patients, such as birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. Dr. Manyin also has a lot of experience with wildlife medicine. She is the consulting vet for the Terrapin Connection program, offered as a part of the Anne Arundel County Public School/Arlington Echo's Chesapeake Connections program. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians. Dr. Manyin and her husband, Mike, a programmer at NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center, together raised a son and daughter. The family (including 3 cats) enjoys living in Annapolis and especially likes being out on the Severn River.

Dr. Genevieve Johnson

Dr. Genevieve Johnson earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from St. George's University, Grenada, West Indies in 2022. She underwent her clinical year rotations at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with a minor in Equine Science at the Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania in 2018. Upon graduating from St. George's University, she accepted a position with Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital. In addition to cats and dogs, she has a special interest in exotic pets. Dr. Johnson was born in Annapolis and grew up in Easton, Maryland. She spent many holidays and summers in Annapolis with family. When Dr. Johnson is not treating her patients, she can be found kayaking, horseback riding, snorkeling, skating, and riding her bike. In addition to her love of the outdoors, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling around the world, volunteering at local animal rescues, and rooting for Penn State Nittany Lions as well as United States Naval Academy Midshipmen. She has several pets of her own including a Cocker Spaniel named Jake; three cats, Smudge, Bernie, and Zeus; and a chinchilla named Mr. Boh.

Dr. Jane Keegan

Dr. Keegan was born and raised in central New York. She has always had a passion for science and animals, and pursued a BS in biology and marine science from the University of Miami. She received her veterinary degree from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During her summers in veterinary school she volunteered in Central America at vaccination and spay/neuter clinics and also worked in research. As a senior at Michigan State, she was the recipient of the Novartis/Ethicon award for small animal surgical excellence, and completed the VEO clinical small animal dentistry modules. After completion of her veterinary degree, she pursued a one year small animal rotating internship at the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, Massachusetts. Dr. Keegan's husband's family are long-term residents of Maryland. She has special interests in dentistry, dermatology, endocrinology, surgery, and preventative medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medicine Association and the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children, her rescue dog Kodiak, and her cats Bagheera and Panchito. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Dr. Julie Benson

Dr. Julie Benson was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in 2003 with a B.S. in Biology and minor in Social and Economic Justice. After working as a veterinary technician in Chapel Hill for two years, she went on to earn her DVM from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 with a focus in small animal medicine. Dr. Benson is particularly interested in internal medicine, feline medicine, pain management, cardiology, clinical pathology and radiology. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Benson enjoys reading, hiking, photography, and gardening. She lives in Annapolis with her cats.

Dr. Kelly Anderson

Dr. Anderson grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in 1997. After working as a veterinary technician and research assistant for 2 years, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2003. She was inducted into the National Veterinary Honor Society, Phi Zeta, in her senior year, and was also the recipient of several scholarships throughout her years of veterinary school. After receiving her doctorate, she devoted a year to an internship at Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic, and then joined Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital in 2004. Her special interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and ultrasound. Dr. Anderson currently resides in Edgewater with her husband, daughter, son and a their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Einstein and two cats named Louie and Linus. She enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, biking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Lisa Gerity

Dr. Gerity was born in Summit, New Jersey. She attended Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and earned a BS in animal science. During her summers, she often participated in internships at a variety of pharmaceutical companies such as Merck, Johnson & Johnson, and Upjohn. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 1996. She practiced in New Jersey for a year and a half before moving to Maryland. Currently, she lives in Ellicott City, Maryland, with her husband, their three daughters, four cats, and two dogs, Tucker and Trixie. Dr. Gerity is employed part-time at Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital. Her veterinary interests include orthopedics, ultrasound, exotics, and sharing ideas on her associates' cases. In her spare time she likes to focus on reading, gardening, teaching Sunday school, helping at her daughters' school and exercising when she finds the time.

Dr. Willow Mikulski

Dr. Willow Mikulski was born and raised in Annapolis. She received her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science from the University of Maryland at College Park. Prior to attending veterinary school, she worked as a veterinary technician in general practice, shelter medicine, and emergency medicine. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. Her areas of interest include preventative medicine, dentistry, and dermatology. Dr. Willow Mikulski has two Pomeranians and three cats. In her free time, she enjoys boating, traveling, SCUBA diving, and spending time with friends and family.
