Anna M. Clark - Founder, President

Anna Clark is the president of Heirloom Digital, a multimedia company she founded in 2019. A social entrepreneur and sustainability strategist, she also advocates for corporate social responsibility (CSR) and inclusive business as co-founder of the Inclusive Economy Consortium. Anna began her career as a management consultant with PwC Consulting and IBM. In 2005, she founded EarthPeople Media, a sustainability communication consultancy. In 2017, she joined H+K Strategies as a principal, providing senior counsel in corporate affairs and CSR to industry leaders. Her clients and strategic partners have included global corporations, universities such as Southern Methodist University and Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University in Dubai, and international organizations such as International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of The World Bank. A published author, Anna has written the Eco-Leadership column for Greenbiz.com since 2009, and has contributed to The Guardian, Al Jazeera English, HuffPost, The Christian Science Monitor and The Dallas Morning News. She is a Public Voices Fellow at the OpEd Project and a Fellow at the Hunt Institute for Engineering & Humanity at SMU. She also serves on the boards of the American Women's Financial Education Foundation, the Little Things Matter Foundation, and Green Source DFW, which awarded her a Sustainable Leadership Award in 2016. Anna holds an M.A. in Communication from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Government from the University of Texas at Austin. She lives with her family in one of the first homes in Dallas to earn a Platinum LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Jay Staton

Jay Staton handles web development for Heirloom Digital and our clients. As the founder of Bandhole Media LLC, Jay has over 19 years of experience in web development with 11 years of custom WordPress development experience for large and small organizations. A pioneer in wireless web development, Jay has a thorough understanding of web usability issues and cross-platform, browser-independent development. He specializes in HTML, PHP, MySQL, CSS, and jQuery development. He is also a trained LINUX/Apache server administrator. Jay began his career as a technical writer, and then worked as a staff writer for a small online publication owned by Hewlett Packard. He studied music education at Texas A&M Commerce and is an active composer and musician, composing scores for short films and some independent, web-based video games. He's the drummer for a local rock band and is an avid cyclist in the Dallas cycling community.

Linda Jones

Linda Jones is a contributing writer at Heirloom Digital and an award-winning journalist. As a consultant, Linda creates content, edits and conducts writing workshops. Her specialties are storytelling, legacy preservation, cultural heritage, emotional intelligence, grief recovery, trauma therapy and wellness. During her newspaper career, Linda was a staff writer at several major and midsized daily newspapers, including the Dallas Morning News, Detroit News, Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, Miami News and has contributed to The Daily Beast, US News & World Report, USA Today/USA Weekend, Newsday, People, Heart & Soul, Essence, Africa News and Black Enterprise. Her career highlights include traveling to Israel to write a series on the expatriate African American community of black Hebrew Israelites; going to South Africa to cover the historic 1994 election of its first black president, Nelson Mandela, and covering his 10-city tour of the U.S. when he was released from 27 years in prison; blogging for the documentary team that covered the D.C.-based Random Acts Foundation's charitable giving tour in South Africa, Swaziland and Senegal; and covering the Detroit funeral of David Ruffin, lead singer of The Temptations. As a writing coach, Linda has taught developmental and creative writing as an adjunct instructor at community colleges in Dallas and Collin County. She has also taught creative and expressive writing for public schools, community colleges, nonprofits, entrepreneurs and faith-based and spiritual centers in Dallas and other cities. Some of her past clients include The Family Place, bcWorkshop Dallas, HeartSpace Spiritual Center, Center for Spiritual Living, Dallas, Friendship West Baptist Church and the Freedom Forum Diversity Institute at Vanderbilt University, Visiting Nurse Association. Linda is also the founder of A Nappy Hair Affair, Inc., an initiative that promotes black heritage. She is the author of several books: Family Scribes: Writing Memories for Your Family Tree, Final Story Obituary Planner, It's Only Temporary: A Journal for Surviving Loved Ones, and Nappyisms: Affirmations for Nappy-Headed People and Wannabes! She is also a contributor to Chicken Soup for the African American Woman's Soul, and Tenderheaded: A Comb-bending Collection of Hair Stories. Linda has received writing awards from the Florida Medical Association, Gannet, the Association of Women Journalists and The Writer's Block. Her news coverage of communities of color earned Linda multiple fellowships at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies and inclusion on the speaker's bureau of the American Society of Newspaper Editors. A native of Akron, Ohio, Linda resides in Dallas, Texas. In her alleged spare time Linda occasionally sits in on African drum circles and spits verse at open mic sets.

Mark McLaughlin - CFO

Mark McLaughlin, C.P.A., brings a broad range of accounting and treasury skills to the Heirloom Digital team. Prior to becoming CFO of Heirloom Digital, Mark developed his financial skills over thirty years with a multi-billion-dollar investment concern, and later with an associated private equity firm in Fort Worth, Texas. His role expanded from accounting manager to assistant treasurer and ultimately to treasurer. Mark believes strongly in using his acquired professional skills in giving back to his community. He served four years as a council member for a municipality in Denton County. After two terms, he became a member of the local Planning and Zoning Commission and served as president of one of the city's economic development corporations. Mark's early fascination with ancestry continues today. In his quest for his own family heritage, he used to pose endless questions to elder family members. Using the only tools available, he would tediously scroll through microfiche rolls at local libraries and search for local family histories available through inter-library loan from various libraries throughout the United States. Today, Mark enjoys using the latest online tools to connect with distant relatives and to discover new ones.

Nick Genua - COO

Nick Genua brings to Heirloom Digital a wealth of skills and experiences related to general management, financial and operations planning, management consulting and financial advisory services. During his business career, he has been responsible for the overall profitability of three multimillion dollar entities, developed and implemented strategic and annual plans, solidified customer relationships and strategic partnerships, realigned sales and service activities, increased productivity in all functional areas and successfully completed a number of merger and acquisition transactions. Nick holds a B.A. in Education from Shepherd University and an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is a strong proponent of giving back to his community and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Trinity Metro, the public transit agency for the City of Fort Worth, Texas. He has also served as the chairperson of the City of Fort Worth Zoning Commission and Residential Board of Adjustment, vice chairperson of the Fort Worth Plan Commission, and a past vestry member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in downtown Fort Worth. Nick's greatest accomplishment is helping to raise a beautiful daughter, a Texas Christian University graduate (Go Frogs!), and great son, a Louisiana State University graduate (Geaux Tigers!) who are twins.
