Mundorf is the Vice President, Programs and Strategy for the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland, where she provides leadership for the foundation's strategy and grantmaking. Adrienne holds a Master of Public Health from the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kalamazoo College. She is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Malawi 2002-2005) during which she developed a passion for social and environmental justice and public health. She lives in University Heights with her husband and two daughters.

Alana Clark-Kirk

Amy Bush Stevens - VP

Amy Bush Stevens is a Vice President at the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. Stevens leads work on population health and also serves as HPIO's evaluation coordinator. Prior to joining HPIO, Stevens served as the Program Evaluator at the Community Mental Health and Recovery Board of Licking and Knox counties and as a program evaluation trainer and coach with local prevention coalitions through the Ohio Domestic Violence Network. As an independent consultant, Stevens partnered with numerous public health organizations and prevention coalitions in rural Ohio to conduct community assessments, strategic planning and program evaluation. Stevens began her research and evaluation career at Wilder Research Center in Minnesota, and at the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University. She holds master's degrees in public health and social work from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor's degree in Religion from Kenyon College.

Amy Rohling McGee - President

Amy Rohling McGee has served as the president of the Health Policy Institute of Ohio since 2010. With her leadership, HPIO has developed a reputation as a trusted source of data and evidence-informed policy analysis. McGee has more than 20 years of experience in management, government relations, policy development, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, coalition building and communication. Her prior public-sector experience includes work in the executive branch of state government, focused on policy issues such as mental health, health insurance, health system improvement and Medicaid; and service in the state legislature as a Legislative Service Commission intern in the mid-1990s. Private sector experience includes five years as the executive director of the Ohio Association of Free Clinics. McGee earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree in social work from the Ohio State University.

Anne Goon

Goon serves on the HPIO Board of Directors because she believes public health is all about improving the health of our communities (and Ohio as a whole), which requires many partners to work together in complementary ways. HPIO engages people across the entire public health system in Ohio- from health educators to medical professionals, from academic to primary care, and from state and local government to non-profit agencies- to identify what works best to improve Ohioans' health. She has served as a health commissioner for over a decade (currently in Seneca County) and has worked in local governmental public health for 20+ years, helping many health departments on their journeys toward national public health accreditation. Anne has bachelor's and master's degrees in Allied Medicine and a Certificate in Public Health Management and Leadership from Ohio State.

Becky Carroll

Becky Carroll is a Senior Health Policy Analyst at the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. Carroll plays a key role in researching and analyzing health policy issues surrounding children. She was the primary author on HPIO's Connections between Education and Health policy brief series. In 2022, Carroll's main areas of focus have been HPIO's work on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and leading the development of Ohio's 2023-2027 State Oral Health Plan under contract with Oral Health Ohio. Prior to joining HPIO, Carroll worked in both Ohio's legislative and executive branches of government. Carroll was employed at the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, first as a healthcare policy analyst and later as the manager of the medical reimbursement and coding policy. She also worked for a health policy consulting firm in Washington, DC and served as a Legislative Service Commission intern in the Ohio Senate in 2009. Carroll holds a master's of public administration from the Ohio State University and bachelor's degrees in business administration and mathematics from Bowling Green State University.

Britney Ward

Ward is the Director of Corporate and Community Health Promotion at the Fulton County Health Center. Britney's role at the hospital and in the community very much aligns with the impact HPIO strives for at the state level in fostering collaboration among healthcare, public health and other sectors; supporting healthy behaviors; and offering her community opportunities to be healthy. In addition to her professional role, she is able to serve her community through coaching youth sports, leading youth group at church, serving on local boards, and volunteering. She currently lives on a horse and cattle ranch with her high school sweetheart and two children in a small rural community in Northwest Ohio. She enjoys group fitness classes and traveling all over the country to watch her children play sports.

Carrie Almasi

Carrie Almasi is a Senior Health Policy Analyst at the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. She leads work on issues such as health equity, population health and the social drivers of health. She has expertise in policy areas including child and family health, health disparities and inequities, older adult health and COVID-19. Prior to joining HPIO in 2020, Carrie was Assistant Vice President of Community Impact at United Way of Central Ohio. She also previously led central Ohio's free tax preparation coalition and served two terms as an AmeriCorps member. Carrie holds a master of public administration from Ohio State University and a bachelor of arts in international studies from Miami University.

Chad Brown

Brown is the Health Commissioner for the Licking County Health Department in central Ohio. Brown has worked extensively in the statewide public health landscape, assisting the Licking County Health Department and many other health departments across Ohio with achieving national accreditation and previously serving as President of the Ohio Environmental Health Association (OEHA). He has held a variety of different positions during his career, beginning as a public health sanitarian a path that led him to becoming the Director of Community Health, Director of Environmental Health, Deputy Health Commissioner for Licking County and then Health Commissioner in May 2020. Brown also serves his local community in other capacities, including as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Utica Athletic Boosters Club and the Mental Health of America Licking County Board. Brown earned a bachelor of environmental health degree from Ohio University and a master of public health degree (MPH) from Walden University.

Chris Whistler - Treasurer

Whistler is a mission-driven executive with diverse, private and public sector leadership experience in strategic management, public policy, budgeting, and advocacy. Most known for his role as assistant director of the Ohio Office of Budget and Management under then-Governor John R. Kasich, as well as policy director during Kasich's 2016 presidential bid, Whistler also has held key positions in a Medicaid-focused health plan, the state legislature, county government, and a provider trade association. He is most at home as a collaborative leader of extensive but efficient, consensus-building processes that define and advance an organization's mission to support individuals and families who are most in need. Whistler is passionate about his family, volunteering, playing electric guitar in his church band, and enjoying the outdoors. He tremendously regrets the length of his hair in his outdated headshot.

Dan Paoletti

Paoletti is Chief Executive Officer of the Ohio Health Information Partnership. As a graduate of the Ohio State University and a lifelong Ohioan, the pursuit of healthcare interoperability in the state is both a professional and personal passion. Through the collaboration of hospitals, health systems, healthcare providers, associations, health plans and others in the medical community, Ohio has become one of the most interoperable states in the country. Leveraging this work and support of these stakeholders across the state, our efforts are now turned to impacting healthcare disparities, equity and racism in Ohio. Service on the HPIO Board of Directors is another way to impact these efforts and address the needs of Ohioans.

Daniel Cohn

Cohn serves as Vice President of Strategy with the Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation, where he leads grantmaking in community health and public policy. In this role, Daniel oversees the Foundation's local and state policy agenda, with a particular focus on maternal and infant health, early childhood development, and access to high-quality health care.

Deena Chisolm

Dr. Chisolm cares about health policy and health equity in Ohio because it is her home. Originally from Springfield Ohio, Dr. Chisolm completed her undergraduate degree at Miami University and her MS and PhD at The Ohio State University. She serves as Director of the Center for Health Equity and Outcomes Research at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics and Public Health at the Ohio State University. Dr. Chisolm has published nearly 100 papers exploring health outcomes, equity, and policy. She serves on the HPIO board because publishing research findings is not enough. Enduring change requires moving that research into policy. In her spare time she reads science fiction and fantasy novels, watches sports with her husband, engages in community service and tries to keep fitness fun.

Denise Moore

Moore is the Community Care Liaison for Ohio's Hospice in Dayton, Ohio and a member of the Trotwood-Madison Board of Education in Trotwood, Ohio. Moore has an extensive background in community outreach and education, both in her role for Ohio's Hospice and as a certified Respecting Choices Advance Care Planning Specialist, a certified First Steps facilitator for Chronic Disease Self-Management Programs, and a Healthy U speaker, teacher and facilitator. She has held a variety of roles in end-of-life care over the past decade, primarily working with patients, their families and community partners such as hospitals and other facilities. In 2021, she was recognized as "Remarkable Woman of the Year" by the city of Dayton. She is actively engaged in service to other nonprofit organizations, both locally and nationally. She is a member of the National Alliance for Black School Educators, National Black Caucus, Ohio Urban Advisory Network and the Ohio School Board Association. Moore was also President of the Trotwood-Madison Board of Education from 2017 to 2020, where she implemented district turnaround policies to avoid a state takeover and opened a districtwide community health center on the school's campus. Moore holds a bachelor of science in business management degree from Central State University and a master of arts in conflict analysis and engagement (MA-CAE) degree from Antioch University. She is also currently working toward a doctorate of business administration degree in healthcare management and leadership.

Dr. Alexandra Chirakos

Lexi Chirakos, PhD., is a Health Policy Analyst at the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. Prior to joining HPIO in 2021, Lexi was a Legislative Services Commission Fellow in the Senate Democratic Caucus, and Co-President of the Science Policy Initiative at the University of Notre Dame. Lexi is passionate about using evidence and data to inform the policy-making process.

Dr. Lareina La Flair

Job Titles:

Lareina La Flair, MPH, PhD. is the Director of Data Management and Analysis at The Health Policy Institute of Ohio. She is a mental health and substance use researcher focused on understanding and preventing suicide-related outcomes, injuries, and drug overdoses, particularly among youth, rural, and military populations. Prior to joining HPIO, Dr. La Flair served as a behavioral health epidemiologist in Washington state, where she analyzed healthcare encounter data to track trends in emergency department visits. She has extensive training in population health research methods, including study design, measurement and data analysis. Dr. La Flair holds a PhD. in psychiatric epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Public Health degree in maternal and child health from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in microbiology from Miami University.

Dr. Maria Espinola

Dr. Maria Espinola is the CEO of the Institute for Health Equity and Innovation. She is a Harvard-trained psychologist with over 12 years of experience providing vision, leadership and strategic planning for the development and implementation of health equity initiatives in multifaceted organizations. She has a record of successful collaboration with leaders across universities, Fortune 500 companies, non-profit organizations and the three branches of government. She has been a consultant for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and has served on the Ohio Governor's Commission on Minority Health's Medical Expert Panel and on the University of Cincinnati President's Diversity Council. Dr. Espinola has received over 25 awards for leadership, health equity initiatives, innovation and community impact. She has helped secure over 15.5 million dollars in intramural and extramural funding from federal, state, county and corporate sources as well as from nonprofit organizations and donors. Dr. Espinola has been featured by a wide range of media outlets, including the U.S. News and World Report, Teen Vogue, CNN and Reuters Health. Dr. Espinola was born and raised in Argentina. She enjoys visiting her nieces and nephews in Puerto Rico, cooking and exercising.

Eric DeWald

DeWald has served in the philanthropic sector for most of his career. He is currently the president of the HealthPath Foundation and has led other health conversion foundations and community foundations. He is an avid hiker and skier. His daughters, Olivia and Sophie, often travel with him on adventures. Eric has a BA from Eastern College and an MPA from Penn State. He is honored to serve on the HPIO board and values the opportunity to collaborate for statewide health impact.

Fallon Peterson

Peterson is a Program Officer for Health and Social Services at the Nord Family Foundation in Lorain County, Ohio. In her role at the Nord Family Foundation, a national grantmaking foundation, Peterson works directly with health organizations across the United States, including in Boston, Massachusetts, Columbia, South Carolina, Denver, Colorado, Penn Yan, New York and Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. She monitors progress of programs and projects that have been awarded grant funding, assists in grant evaluation processes, and assists other nonprofit organizations in program development and proposal writing. Prior to joining the Nord Family Foundation, Peterson was the Aging Services Administrator for the City of Cleveland Department of Aging. Peterson is a member of the Lorain County Racial Equity Center, the Lorain County Homeless System Strategic Planning Group, the Uninsured Coalition of Lorain County, the Lorain County Domestic Violence Task Force, and the Coalition for Quality Aging of Lorain County. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and certified in the Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP). Peterson holds a bachelor of science in chemistry degree from Hampton University and a master of science in health promotion and education degree from the University of Cincinnati. In addition, she was an Exponent Philanthropy 2020 Next Gen Fellow and a Rockwood Virtual Art of Leadership for Philanthropic Leaders Fellow.

Gregory Lam

Dr. Lam is a cardiologist in rural Southern Ohio. He helps his patients with the health consequences of economic inequities on a daily basis, and through his work with the Ohio Commission on Minority Health and the Ohio Asian American Health Coalition, he has tried to address health disparities due to race. Dr. Lam loves serving on the HPIO board because HPIO's work is instrumental in informing the policies that directly impacts his patients. Originally from Honolulu, HI, Dr. Lam has lived in Columbus for the past 11 years after completing his undergraduate degree at Yale University, medical school at the University of Rochester, and residency/fellowship training at Duke University and the NIH. In his spare time he loves spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons, and he continually questions whether he should give up golf.

Hailey Akah

Hailey Akah is an Associate Vice President at the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. Akah leads work on population health, social drivers of health and health equity. She also manages the HPIO internship program and assists with the Institute's in-house legal work. Akah has been with HPIO since 2015. In that time, she has developed expertise in several policy areas, including mental health and addiction, criminal justice, employment and aging. She has taken lead roles in developing Ohio's State Health Improvement Plan, Strategic Action Plan on Aging, Minority Health Strikeforce Blueprint and HPIO's Addiction Evidence Project. Akah holds a law degree and a master's in public policy from the Ohio State University and a bachelor's degree in philosophy from Lawrence University.

Jacob Santiago

Jacob Santiago is a Health Policy Analyst at the Health Policy Institute of Ohio. Santiago analyzes key health policy issues, including health equity, mental health and substance use, ACEs, maternal and infant health, and the social drivers of health, with a focus on housing and the physical environment. Since joining HPIO in 2020, Santiago has assisted with and helped lead projects such as the Healthy Beginnings at Home evaluation, the Addiction Evidence Project, the Ohio ACEs Impact Project and contracted work with the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. He also manages HPIO's legislative outreach and assists with HPIO's internal evaluation. Santiago holds a Master of Social Work, with a concentration in community and social justice, from the Ohio State University; and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Wright State University.

Jennifer Chubinski - Chairman

Dr. Chubinski serves on the HPIO because she wants to be sure HPIO is around to serve many generations of Ohioans. She has a profound respect for the powerful and long-lasting change that good public policy can make and she believes HPIO is contributing to better health policy in Ohio. Originally from northern Indiana, Dr. Chubinski completed her undergrad at Purdue University, MS at Carnegie Mellon University and PhD at the University of Cincinnati. Currently, Dr. Chubinski is an Assistant Professor in the Health Services Administration Program at Xavier University in Cincinnati. In her free time she likes to learn new recipes, hike, read or watch her kids play sports.

Jillian Newman

Jillian Newman is pursuing a Master of Public Administration in public policy and management with an interdisciplinary specialty in global health from Ohio State University. She completed a BA in world politics and anthropology with a minor in public policy from OSU.

John Humphrey

Job Titles:

Dr. Humphrey has a passion for equitable access to health care, especially for the most vulnerable. HPIO is a respected source of evidence-based recommendations for policy makers in these times of unsustainable healthcare costs, and therefore, the need for prudent policy decisions for the betterment of all. He grew up in rural New Jersey, attended Seton Hall University and subsequently Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his postgraduate training in Cleveland leading to certification in the specialty of internal medicine. Dr. Humphrey served in the USPHS, Indian Health Service as a general medical officer on the Navajo Reservation and then joined the faculty at the University of Colorado Medical School. Wanting to be closer to family and practice full time, Dr. Humphrey moved to North Canton, where he practiced for over 35 years. Since retirement from his clinical practice in 2010, he has served as the Executive Director of North Canton Medical Foundation, a public, charitable foundation which provides financial support for medically related not-for-profits in our community. Dr. Humphrey lives with his wife of 53 years on a small farm in rural Carroll County, where he enjoys the outdoors, gardening, and photography. He continues to serve as a volunteer for several community agencies and is a member of the Board of Directors of Aultman Health Foundation and AultCare. Dr. Humphrey and his wife have three children and seven grandchildren….who live too far away.

Kara Ayers

  • Associate Director of the University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence
Dr. Ayers is the Associate Director of the University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), and an Assistant Professor in the University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Ayers holds multiple roles within and beyond Cincinnati Children's Hospital, ranging from training residents on cultural humility and cultural competence to teaching about disabilities. She also researches a wide range of disability-related topics. Dr. Ayers acts as the Director for the Center for Dignity in Healthcare for People with Disabilities, which has eight national partners in its mission to address the impact of ableism in healthcare inequities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she has worked on the inequitable response experienced by people with disabilities, co-developed a vaccine prioritization dashboard with the Johns Hopkins Disability Advisory Committee, and was invited to speak to the White House COVID-19 Equity Taskforce about this work. Dr. Ayers completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Nova Southeastern University, her predoctoral training at Wright State University and Miami Children's Hospital, and postdoctoral fellowship at Child Focus, Inc. She focuses her work on health equity and disability policy. Dr. Ayers serves on many statewide advisory groups and boards, including the State Independent Living Council, the Ohio Department of Health Disability Advisory Committee, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute Board of Governors, Ohio APSI Leadership Council, Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation board of directors, and Center for Independent Living Options Board.

Michael Stinziano

Franklin County Auditor, Michael Stinziano, took office on March 11, 2019. He leads an office that is accessible, accountable and transparent. One of his first policy changes was to establish paid parental and caregiver leave for employees. Auditor Stinziano later advocated the legislature and the County Auditors Association of Ohio to declare racism a public health crisis. As Auditor, Stinziano is a watchdog for taxpayers, an advocate for consumers, and leads an office that is a resource to the community. From 2011 to 2016, Auditor Stinziano proudly represented the residents and businesses of Columbus in the Ohio General Assembly. From 2016 to 2019, Stinziano served as a member of Columbus City Council, where he was elected President Pro Tem in 2018. He chaired Age Friendly Columbus, the award-winning citywide initiative that ensures that individuals of all ages and abilities can remain in their neighborhoods and live a high quality of life independently. Auditor Stinziano and his wife Caroline, a certified public accountant, are the proud and busy parents of 7-year-old Cooper and 5-year-old Riley. They live in the University community with their two rescue pugs, Wrigley and Fenway, and belong to St. Agatha parish in Upper Arlington.

Molly Culbertson

She is proud to serve on the HPIO board and support its vision of advancing health through informed policy decisions. Molly is part of the External Affairs team at Cardinal Health, a mission- and values-driven company that strives to be healthcare's most trusted partner. As a volunteer, she seeks meaningful ways to give back to the community, including supporting Pelotonia, the United Way of Central Ohio, and other nonprofit organizations engaged in improving health and eliminating inequities. In her spare time, she reads, runs, bicycles, gardens and tries to tame her two enormous Great Pyrenees pups.

Neva Hornbeck

Before joining HPIO in 2011, she contracted her accounting services for several small businesses and non-profits. For the first 20 years of her career, she was an auditor for BP Oil. Nick Wiselogel - VP

Nick Wiselogel is the Vice President, Strategic Communications, for The Health Policy Institute of Ohio. Wiselogel oversees all HPIO communications efforts, including media relations, layout and design, social media and website management. Prior to joining HPIO in 2008, Wiselogel was the Communications Specialist for Health Care Excel, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Kentucky and Indiana. He began his career in community journalism, working as a reporter, editor and page designer at newspapers in the Boston, Chicago and Louisville metro areas. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Louisville and a master's degree in journalism and new media from Emerson College in Boston.

Patty Starr

Starr is president and CEO of Health Action Council. She is responsible for the strategic direction of the organization and implementation of the mission-build stronger, healthier communities where business can thrive. The organization's mission aligns with that of HPIO. Since joining the Health Action Council team in 2013, she has transformed the organization yielding broad national expansion and seven consecutive years of growth. Patty is a member of the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Advisory Board, the Board of Directors for Health Policy Institute of Ohio (HPIO) and a co-chair for the Ohio Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative Coordinating Council.

Srinivas Merugu

  • Chief Medical Officer for United Healthcare Community Plan of Ohio
Dr. Merugu is the Chief Medical Officer for United Healthcare Community Plan of Ohio and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University. As Chief Medical Officer for United Healthcare Community Plan of Ohio, Dr. Merugu is the clinical lead for strategic initiatives including practice transformation, population health and plan performance improvement that cover more than 300,000 Ohioans. He is also the health plan lead for health equity for United Healthcare Community Plan of Ohio. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of leadership roles at the intersection of quality improvement, population health and healthcare innovation. Dr. Merugu volunteers in various community engagement activities on Cleveland's west side, where he has helped to develop and implement ideas that bring together people of different backgrounds to build a healthier community. He has engaged in activities ranging from working on grant applications to fund community programs, to coordinating and organizing events as a volunteer coordinator. He serves on the boards of directors for The Land (an online news publication in Cleveland), and was formerly a member of the board for the Rainey Institute, and Joseph's Home. Dr. Merugu is also an active member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Merugu earned his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery degrees from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India before receiving his MD from St. Vincent Charity Medical Center in 2003. He also holds a master of medical management degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Tonya Johnson

Johnson is a certified advanced practice nurse and nurse leader with 27 years of experience across the healthcare continuum. Her goals focus on the development of future nurses and empowering nurses to become involved in community service to improve the health of people where they live. As a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, a professional nursing sorority, Tonya is able to educate, support, and serve her community through health fairs, participation in local events, and conducting educational forums. Johnson is a graduate of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia and received her Master's in Nursing from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. While the warm weather and beaches call her back home often, she has lived in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and three boys since 2011. As a nurse serving on the HPIO board, she seeks to continue her mission of service to her community to ensure the most vulnerable have a voice and solutions to issues affecting their health. Tonya previously served as the Assistant Health Commissioner and Chief Nursing Officer at Columbus Public Health and Chief Nursing Officer at OhioHealth Rehabilitation Hospital. She currently practices as an Independent Nurse Practitioner at local post acute care facilities in Columbus.

Vicki Giambrone

Giambrone is passionate about her community, her work in health policy and advancing strategies to improve the well-being of children living in poverty. As partner at CBD Advisors for the past five years, Vicki helps healthcare and corporate clients successfully navigate issues, policy and politics. Prior to that, she served for 24 years as a senior leader for Dayton Children's Hospital. Vicki was elected to two terms on the Beavercreek City Council, serving as vice Mayor and Mayor. She is a two-time University of Dayton graduate and is nuts about her grandkids, Ryker and Mae!

Wallace Chambers

Chambers is the Deputy Director of Environmental Public Health for the Cuyahoga County Board of Health in Parma, Ohio. He is a registered sanitarian and Healthy Homes Specialist, having served on multiple national CDC advisory groups related to lead exposure. He was also part of the National Association of County and City Health Officials' (NACCHO) Environmental Health Work Group from 2017 to 2019. Chambers is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., an alumni ambassador for the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality, National Environmental Health Association, Ohio Environmental Health Association, and Ohio Public Health Association. He earned a bachelor of science degree in environmental health and master of health administration (MHA) degree from Ohio University. He received his PhD in public health, health policy and management at Kent State University, and a master of applied science degree in population health management at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

Édith Nkenganyi

Édith Nkenganyi is a Health Policy Analyst at the Health Policy Institute of Ohio (HPIO). Prior to joining HPIO, Édith was a Special Project and Policy Liaison at the Ohio Department of Education where she helped spearhead the RemotEDx initiative, which cuts across multiple k-12 education partners, to increase student access to remote and hybrid education. She also worked closely with the Cleveland Browns Foundation, Proving Ground at Harvard University and Attendance Work to address chronic absenteeism and provide whole child support through the Stay in the Game Network. Édith began her career in government as a Legislative Service Commission Fellow and later served as a Legislative Aide in the Ohio Senate.
