Anthony's strategic nature and dedication to his craft has helped him achieve notable results throughout his career. Before joining HSM, Anthony practiced complex commercial and bankruptcy litigation at another boutique law firm in Miami. There, he was part of the litigation team representing the Chapter 7 Trustee for the largest law firm in Puerto Rico in recovering millions of dollars for the bankruptcy estate. He also helped represent the receiver for a failed HMO in successfully litigating and settling claims against a major international accounting firm for upwards of $15 million. Anthony earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, he served as an editor of the University of Miami Business Law Review and a judicial intern for U.S. District Judge Marcia G. Cooke. He also served as a legal extern in the University of Miami Federal Appellate Clinic, where he drafted two appellate briefs on behalf of indigent criminal defendants in federal court, one of which granted a reversal in United States v. Starr, 717 F. App'x 918 (11th Cir. 2017). Anthony puts his analytical skills to use in more than just litigation; he spends his free time playing chess and poker (Texas Hold'em) with his friends. Daniel Tropin

Daniel Tropin is a litigator who specializes in complex commercial cases and class action litigation. Daniel joined the law firm as a partner in 2024, and has a wealth of experience across the spectrum of litigation, including class actions, derivative actions, trade secrets, arbitrations, and products liability cases. Daniel, a native Miamian, graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2012 before returning to South Florida. Dorian has been involved in numerous initiatives in his community wherever he has lived. Before his tenure as a federal prosecutor, Frank served for two years as a federal judicial law clerk. During that period, Frank worked on the federal "Engle Tobacco" docket presided over by the Hon. William G. Young, District of Massachusetts (sitting by designation in the Middle District of Florida). Part of that service included serving as a law clerk for visiting judges from throughout the federal judiciary during seven trials. Frank also subsequently participated in the "Engle Tobacco" federal mediation effort, resulting in a $100 million settlement in February 2015. Following that settlement, Frank assisted the appointed Rule 53 Special Master, the Hon. Anthony E. Porcelli, to create a distribution plan for the settlement funds and helped administer their distribution to qualifying plaintiffs.

Katie Takeuchi joined Heise Suarez Melville as an associate in 2022. Before that, she began her career with two federal judicial clerkships. First, Katie clerked for the Honorable Charles R. Wilson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. The following year, Katie served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Federico A. Moreno of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Katie's federal service also includes student internships at the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and with a member of the U.S. Senate. Before clerking, Katie obtained her Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School. During law school, Katie served as the executive editor of the Notre Dame Law Review, one of the nation's highest-ranking law journals that consistently lands in the top ten of the Washington and Lee Law Journal Rankings. Her note, "A New Third-Party Doctrine: The Telephone Metadata Program and Carpenter v. United States," was selected for publication in volume 94 of the Law Review. Katie was also an active member of the Notre Dame Moot Court Board. She represented Notre Dame at the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition and was first runner up at the Indiana State Bar Association Third Annual Moot Court Competition. In her first-year moot court course, which required all 1Ls to submit an appellate brief and participate in oral arguments, Katie was awarded both Best Brief and Best Oralist. She also received the Faculty Award for Excellence in Criminal Law and the Faculty Award for Excellence in Legal Research and Writing. In college, Katie studied Economics and Geography with a special focus on poverty at the George Washington University. There, she co-founded "The Store," GW's on-campus food pantry. In between her undergraduate and law school studies, Katie was an administrative assistant at Bay Area Legal Services, an LSC-funded legal-aid organization that provides free legal services to low-income residents in her hometown of Tampa, Florida. Prior to joining the firm, Jordan served in various positions in the federal government, including at the White House Domestic Policy Council as a Special Assistant to the President, and as a policy advisor in the Office of American Innovation. During his tenure, Jordan helped oversee policy development at the U.S. Department of Justice and drafted multiple executive orders. In addition, Jordan coordinated the review of clemency applications with the Office of White House Counsel and the Department of Justice. Before his work on the Domestic Policy Council, Jordan served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Labor where he provided policy guidance to the Assistant Secretary for Employment and Training on how to increase employment for displaced workers, returning citizens, and people affected by the opioid epidemic. Prior to his work in the federal government, Jordan advised several non-profit organizations in the Washington, D.C. area and regularly delivered testimony and legal briefings to state legislatures on the subjects of civil asset forfeiture, occupational licensing, and sentencing. For his leadership in these roles, Jordan was named to Forbes 30-Under-30 in Law & Policy in 2018. Following his time in federal service in Washington, D.C., and before joining Heise Suarez Melville, Jordan completed a two-year federal clerkship with the Hon. Aileen M. Cannon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Jordan to serve as a commissioner on the Judicial Nominating Commission of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit in and for Miami-Dade County. In this role, he assesses and interviews candidates for county and circuit court openings.
