Alex Tse

Dr Tse Chun Kuen, Alex is a seasoned health, safety and environment practitioner, educator, mentor and training professional. He has over 30 years of solid experience in occupational health, safety and environment (HSE). He started his career as a frontline HSE practitioner in different universities in Hong Kong then later moved on to management and teaching of various programmes related to HSE as well as providing consultancy service in HSE. Dr. Tse is a Registered Safety Officer, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, and Certified Industrial Hygienist.

Deniz Demir

Deniz is the Health Officer based in Paris, France. Deniz is a certified First Aider and has always been interested in health and safety to improve her fellow colleagues' mental health by spreading awareness and providing support. She was previously working as a Customer Service Manager for 6 years in the insurance/assistance department. And have worked alongside with doctors and nurses while organising repatriation from all around the world. During Covid-19, she volunteered at Red Cross to provide counselling and psychological support. She is pursuing her degree at Paris 8 University to be specialised in psychotraumatology and generalised anxiety.

Dr Richard Graveling

Dr Richard Graveling is Principal Ergonomics Consultant with the UK Institute of Occupational Medicine and a Visiting Ergonomics Consultant with IOM Singapore. He has over 35 years of experience in ergonomics and human factors covering a wide range of issues including musculoskeletal disorders (backs, upper limb, lower limb); psychosocial risks and stress, heat stress and strain, workplace design, and the ergonomics of PPE. This work has taken him into many industries including coal mining, offshore oil, foods and beverages (including whisky production), power generation (coal, nuclear), finance and commerce. He also has extensive experience working for the emergency services (fire, police, ambulance, mines rescue, sea rescue). As part of his work he provides consultancy services, advising directly on the reduction of workplace risks; and research services, helping to develop and improve our understanding of workplace hazards. He has worked with government agencies at both UK and EU-level, contributing to the development of policies and guidance on workplace issues such as manual handling, psychosocial risks and stress, and heat stress/strain. In 2013-2014 he was President of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (IEHF) of which he is a Fellow and Chartered Ergonomics and Human Factors Expert. In his time as a senior executive of the IEHF he helped to steer it towards a Royal Charter which it was awarded in 2014. He is a member of a number of British (BSI), European (CEN) and International (ISO) Standards committees and working groups, actively involved in the development of ergonomics standards including ISO 26800 on ergonomics principles.

Hamit Demir

Hamit is the Health Officer based in Paris, France. Hamit is a medical doctor who graduated from one of the most prestigious medical schools in Turkey in 2011. He has an immersive background in emergency medicine, pediatrics and has worked as a coordinating doctor for several years in the Emergency Medical Assistance Service (112) in Turkey. His experience made him realised that patients are burdened with unnecessary hospital admissions and medical treatment costs. Hamit and his team built Turkey's first telemedicine service within Allianz Group that ruled many other digital health projects. This service has supported thousands of patients in Turkey seeking medical assistance. He was also responsible for the health and well-being of his colleagues and have trained them about positive psychology, stress management, resilience and ergonomics. He is currently working as a consultant physician in a telemedicine service for the Turkish population. And as a Health and Safety Officer for IEH, responsible for the well-being of his colleagues in the Paris' office. He has always been interested in remote medicine support, digital health technologies, medical writings, wellness and safety of workers and preventive medicine.

Huang Xian

Huang Xian is an Ergonomist and Occupational Hygienist from IEH. She has an extensive working experience on occupational health, safety and environmental consultant to various industries and public organizations in Singapore and the surrounding region. During the past years of work, Huang Xian has provided consultancy support for a range of sectors including: oil and gas industry, construction, manufacturing (flavour and fragrances, food, electronics, and semi-conductor), retail, and hospitality. Huang Xian is an M.Sc graduate from National University of Singapore and worked as a research engineer on ambient air pollution before joining IEH as Occupational Hygienist.

Julian Wandres

Julian is committed to helping organizations achieve success through effective risk mitigation strategies. Over the past 12 years, he worked across Australia within the engineering, manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical and logistics sectors to provide a broad range of risk management services.

Kamal Kishor Yadav

Kamal is a Health & Safety Officer based in Bengaluru, India. He has 4+ years of extensive experience in the field of Industrial safety and health in various industries including Metal, Pharma, FMCG, Warehouse, and manufacturing as a Safety officer and consultant. He also has expertise in implementing & monitoring EHS policies and compliance, identifying discrepancies at the site, and ensuring corrective action, Lock-Out Tag-Out training & implementation program. He has completed his Bachelor of Technology from AKTU University India, ADIS from MSBTE (India), and Managing Safely from IOSH (UK). He is also a certified First-Aider by DISH Maharashtra and VMEDO Academy. Currently, he is working as a Health & Safety Officer for IEH and is responsible for the well-being of India's office. He has always been enthusiastic about Occupational Health & Safety programs at the site and is always motivated to make the workplace safer and healthier for the employees.

Leu Yu Rui

Yu Rui is an Occupational Hygienist with IEH. Since joining IEH, he has provided occupational hygiene consultancy services for a wide array of sectors globally including the pharmaceutical industry, agricultural industry, facilities management, utilities, technology industry, printing, woodworking, and manufacturing. Yu Rui is a graduate from the Technische Universität München and had worked on several projects involving the synthesis and likelihood of release of Engineered Nanoparticles.

Mohamed Jufri

Jufri is a Safety Consultant in Singapore, having built up technical safety expertise in various industries such as construction, manufacturing (semiconductor, cleanroom and food), logistics, hospitality and biotechnology. In the area of Occupational Safety and Health, he has developed procedures and safety programmes with special emphasis on ISO 45001, formerly OHSAS 18001. In the area of operations & productivity, he has assisted many companies in the review of their operations and processes. As part of his consulting to companies he also provides assistance to improve work flow and processes.

Rob Aitken

Rob has worked at the IOM for more than 35 years and has been a member of IOM's management board for more than 12 years. In addition to his role in Singapore, he is Director of Strategic Consulting at IOM and he leads IOM's work programme on nanotechnology risk which currently encompasses SAFENANO, more than ten major European Commission FP7 framework projects and a series of major public reviews for Government Agencies. His main scientific interests are in exposure and risk assessment of fine particles and he has contributed more than 50 publications on these issues. He is on the advisory board of several industrial, academic and government organisations including the Institute of Nanotechnology (ION) and the Integrated Nano-science and Commodity Exchange (INSCX). In addition he has been Principal UK Expert on Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) issues to ISO 299 Nanotechnologies and a member of OECD Working Party on Nanomaterials. He was until recently a Member of the European Commission, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies Program Expert Advisory Group. He holds the title of Honorary Professor at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh.

Sheryl Ann

Sheryl Ann is the Health Officer based in Malmo, Sweden. She has a bachelor's degree in Science in Psychology. And majored in Human Behaviours and Mental Process and Clinical Psychology. Previously, she was working in the Internal Medicine and Surgery Department in a hospital and handle patients with anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Being the patients' counsellor, she expanded her knowledge and ability to sense and understand their emotional well-being and developed an empathetic approach when providing support. Back home in Philippines, she volunteers for medical missions and offer stress-debriefing to communities in the affected warzone areas. She is a certified First Aider by HLR Experten Sweden. And recently got certified as a Mental Health First Aider by MHFA England.

V. Sharmila Devi

With a background in teaching Physiotherapy and Rehabilitating to patients, she is able to adeptly apply anatomical and biomechanical knowledge at Workplace & Design. Vernon Lee

Vernon is Head of Business Development with IEH where he is dedicated to create a solid foundation for the company to grow in the mid to long term horizon. He is a forward-looking business development executive with over 25 years of management experience with global brands such as Disney, Hasbro and Nickelodeon amongst others. His experience includes spending some time in China and heading regional offices in Asia. Prior to joining IEH, he was the Director of Viacom's Location Based Experiences (LBE) business across Asia and created exciting story-telling live experiences for families and kids. Vernon is a graduate from Nanyang Business School, Singapore and is married with 4 kids.

Zephan Chan

Zephan has extensive working experience as an occupational health, safety and environmental consultant to various industries and public organizations in Singapore and the region. He has provided consultancy support in the development of and implementation of safety and health and environmental management systems, risk assessment and management. He is an ACTA certified WSH trainer and developer and has developed and taught a range of Ministry of Manpower accredited courses including bizSAFE. He contextualised and now teaches Occupational Health and Safety for the University of Western Australia in Singapore and has served as an associate lecturer with the University of Newcastle in the BEnvOHS degree.
