LBI

Peter Legnos founded LBI in May 1971. LBI is a research, development, engineering and manufacturing company specializing in marine and naval systems. In the beginning, Legnos designed, manufactured and marketed over 300 sailboats and commercial power boats in the early years until 1986. The Legnos boat designs are known as the "Mystic Cat", "Mystic 30", "Mystic Ali Cat 20", "Mystic River Cat 15" sailboats, and the "Legnos 35" a commercial powerboat. As an innovative and knowledgeable boat designer and builder for over 14 years Legnos grew LBI in a new direction in the late 80's that continues till today of specialized work successfully developing and manufacturing projects for our U.S. Government National Defense. Electric Boat and LBI collaboration began in the late 1970's. Legnos and the LBI team worked on many components for the Trident mock-up.
