Alex graduated from Queen's University Belfast in July 2019. Alex enjoys treating patients of all age groups while making patients feel at ease and relaxed during appointments. Outside of work Alex enjoys keeping fit through Gaelic Football and CrossFit as well as socialising with friends.
Ben qualified from Queen's University Belfast. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry but especially paediatric dentistry and helping to improve children's oral health. When not in work Ben enjoys the outdoors and likes to run, ski and swim in the sea as well as socialising with friends and family.
Claire graduated from Dundee University in 1998. Since then, she has worked in practices in Edinburgh and West Lothian. She became one of the principal dentists at Long and Gilmour in August 2019. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, particularly restorative procedures and restoring implants. Claire has recently completed her post graduate certificate in medical education, which is her special interest. This has proven invaluable to her role as a vocational trainer, mentoring and supporting young graduates working with her at the practice. In her spare time she likes to read, run and cook, and look after her three young boys.
Lisa qualified from Dundee University in 1996 and has spent her whole career at Long and Gilmour, graduating from trainee to associate to Principal .She enjoys treating patients of all ages and has been looking after many generations of families for over 20 years. She prides herself on being friendly and welcoming which creates a relaxed environment for her patients. She has also recently embarked on facial aesthetics training. Out with work Lisa likes to run and practice yoga and spend time with her boys and dog.
Oisin graduated from Queens University Belfast. He enjoys all aspects of NHS and modern dentistry and prides himself on making patients at ease providing pain free dentistry. He has ambitions to provide Orthodontics in general practice and providing beautiful healthy smiles. Oisin is currently completing a post graduate qualification to join the Member of Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) in the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. Outside of work he is a keen rugby player, enjoys snowboarding in winter and golf in the summer
Ruth Love qualified from Guy's Hospital Dental School with BDS in 1984. She has worked at the practice for fifteen years. She enjoys the varied nature of general dental practice and is particularly keen to encourage good preventive practice in her patients.
Outside of work Ruth is a keen hill walker, climber and mountaineer with a particular passion for Scottish Winter climbing. On the cultural side Ruth takes an interest in the French and Spanish languages
Sarah qualified from the University of Dundee. Sarah enjoys all aspects of clinical dentistry and providing patient-centered care. She hopes to make her patients feel relaxed and comfortable throughout their appointments. Sarah's hobbies outside of work are dancing and cooking. She also loves socialising with her friends and family.
