Cheryl Powers is a Florida native who enjoys practicing in the community in which she grew up. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Anthropology in 1998 and then from StetsonUniversity College of Law, Cum Laude, in 2001. She began her legal career at a personal injury firm, where she handled all aspects of personal injury and medical malpractice cases. After gaining experience in the personal injury sector, she became an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. While at the State Attorney's Office she prosecuted hundreds of cases. She was promoted to Lead Trial Attorney and remained as such until she opened her own defense practice in early 2004.
Ms. Powers has handled a diversity of legal cases, concentrating on personal injury and criminal defense with a focus on DUI cases. She has defended hundreds of clients. She is a member of numerous bar associations and her firm has been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2008. Danny Burgess Jr. was born and raised in East Pasco County, FL. As a freshman in college and only 18 years old, Danny was first elected to the Zephyrhills City Council. Making him the youngest elected official in the State of Florida. Then in 2011 Danny received his Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law. Danny serves as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve as a Judge Advocate. At the age of 26, Burgess served as the mayor of Zephyrhills. Partner Jeff Lucas was born in New York in 1963. At an early age, his family relocated to Dunedin, Florida. Jeff attended school in the Tampa Bay area, graduating from Dunedin High School and attending the University of Tampa.

Michael Mastrogiovanni has lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 35 years with his family. His career started out in the medical field where he worked as an administrator for over a decade eventually acquiring ownership of several assisted living facilities. Like many working professionals, Michael went to college at night while working full time during the day. He obtained his A.A. degree with honors from St. Petersburg Junior College in 2000, his B.A. degree Cum Laude from the University of South Florida in 2002 and went on to attend Stetson University College of Law graduating in 2004.
Upon graduation, Michael was hired by the State Attorney's Office for the 6th Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County where he gained invaluable experience while handling hundreds of DUI, domestic violence and county court cases, including many jury trials. Rebeca Sayers, born in Chicago, Illinois, grew up in Florida, graduating from Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida. She pursued her Bachelors of Arts in Education from the University of South Florida and subsequently obtained her law degree from Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. Rebeca was fortunate to serve as an intern at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She also clerked for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Tampa, Florida, working primarily with circuit court counsel and the criminal law judges.
Immediately following graduation Rebeca relocated to St. Louis, Missouri to begin her legal career working as a consultant for legal publisher Reed Elsevier. Rebeca is a member of the Florida Bar, the Missouri Bar, the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association and the American Justice Association.
Rebeca was introduced to the practice area of personal injury while working as an office manager for her late husband's, Dr. Neal Sayers, chiropractic practice. She quickly learned of the severe injuries inflicted upon patients involved in auto accidents, familiarizing herself with treatment protocols, diagnosis codes, and permanency of injuries. Rebeca witnessed many of her husband's patients suffer life-altering injuries as a result of auto accidents. Stephen H. Haskins was raised in Pinellas County and is a graduate of Dunedin High School. Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida in December of 1975, having majored in accounting. He graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in December of 1979 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in July of 1980.
After graduating from Law School, Steve returned to the Tampa Bay area where he has practiced law for the past forty (40) years. Steve has handled a substantial volume of civil litigation and trial practice, both as a Plaintiff's lawyer and, in his early years of practice as an insurance defense lawyer, in the fields of medical negligence, products liability, insurance coverage, and liability disputes, premises liability, motor vehicle liability, wrongful death, nursing home abuse, and other general tort law and personal injury matters.
Steve has tried many civil jury trials in the various counties of the Florida Gulf Coast. He is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, having earned that distinction in 1993, and also a Board Certified Civil Trail Lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1998. Steve is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in all three of the Federal Districts in Florida, the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts.
