Hot school dinners are cooked fresh on site every day by our in-house cooks. Because our school takes part in the Food For Life scheme, our meals are of a very high standard, including lots of local and organic produce, local butcher's meat, at least two portions of fruit and veg every day and definitely no turkey twizzlers! Children eat a range of seasonal meals with a pudding every day, and there is always local organic bread, water and a basket of fruit on the table too. We book our school meals on a half term basis, with a three week rotating menu. Children can either eat every day, or select the days of the week which are their favourite foods, e.g. roast dinners on Wednesdays. We provide free school meals for EVERY child up to the end of Year 2, regardless of income. The meals are managed by a voluntary organisation called Orleton School Meals Association which is run by parents and staff together.
