James brings personal experience as a Councilor member of the Arusha District Council. He has a Master of Science in Leadership and Governance, a postgraduate diploma in legal practice, and a bachelor's degree in laws (LL.B)
He has vast years of credit risk analysis and debt recovery experience in and out of the banking industry. He is currently managing SME Impact Fund (SIF) Tanzania as a credit risk manager assessing and monitoring credit risks before and during the financing. He is also responsible for administering the Fund, managing the portfolio, and reporting. He holds a Bachelor's in Economics, Policy, and Planning.

He has extensive experience in the agribusiness and investing sectors in Tanzania, including five years as an investment officer for Match Maker Group's SME Impact Fund, four years as a project officer implementing an IFAD-funded program for rural SMEs, and two years as a loan officer for National Microfinance Bank Plc. He has worked in value chain development, agribusiness training in business planning and implementation, agricultural lending, and portfolio management. Patrick took Master's classes in MSc Finance & Investment, and he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship Development Management) from Mzumbe University.
