PIKA WIYA HEALTH SERVICE ABORIGINAL CORPORATION

Now known as Pika Wiya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation, the organisation operates from premises in Port Augusta and also has clinics at Davenport, Copley and Nepabunna communities as well as provides services to the communities of Quorn, Hawker, Marree, Lyndhurst and Beltana... Established as Pika Wiya Health Services Inc. in the early 1970s to provide a medical service to the Aboriginal population in Port Augusta and Davenport, the organisation was incorporated in 1984 under the SA Health Commission (now Country Health SA Local Health Network Inc.). On 1 July 2011, the service transitioned to Aboriginal community control under the CATSI Act.
