The Philippine Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, Inc., or PSMID, is the country's leading professional association of specialists in infectious diseases and microbiology. From its humble beginnings, it became a national resource of expertise in the discipline, not only on issues about professional standards, but also on infectious disease concerns of public health importance.
