Dr. Ritter was born and raised in Sussex County, Delaware. She had always wanted to be a veterinarian and started to put this plan in motion in high school by joining FFA (Future Farmers of America) & helping out on the school farm. She then fell in love with livestock and brought the animals back to her family farm located in Harbeson, DE and her passion for veterinary medicine grew even more. Dr. Ritter went to University of Delaware and graduated in 2020. She attended vet school at Ross University located in St. Kitts for her pre-clinical training and did her final year at Oklahoma State University. During her clinical year, she did a few externships at Rehoboth Beach Animal Hospital and very thoroughly enjoyed her experience and came back to join the team when she graduated in January of 2024. Outside of work, Dr. Ritter enjoys photography, being on her family farm which includes many goats, and spending time with her dogs Belle and Sunny.

Dr. Candace Prettyman is a native of Sussex County, Delaware. She completed her pre-requisite veterinary courses at Delaware Tech and UC Berkley while gaining clinical experience at local veterinary hospitals. Dr. Prettyman obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in January 2018 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts, West Indies. Her clinical rotations were completed at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, in Auburn, Alabama. War Eagle
Dr.Prettyman joined the team at Rehoboth Beach Animal Hospital in March of 2018. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, kidney disease, wound healing, and soft tissue surgery. She has a soft spot for Great Danes and English Bulldogs.
Dr.Prettyman has two larger than life Great Danes. She enjoys being active, gardening, spending time with family, and going to the beach.
Dr. Marisa Curro is originally from Fallston, Maryland. She ventured to the Delaware beaches after graduating from UDEL in 2016 where she worked as a technician for RBAH. After working she found her passion for veterinary medicine and graduated from St. George's University, School of Veterinary Medicine, in 2022. She completed her 4th year clinical training at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. Outside of work Dr. Curro enjoys the beach with her friends, traveling, riding her horses Sebastian and Jake, and spending time with her precious beagle, Owen.
Dr. Hirsch grew up in the Adirondacks in upstate NY. After attending Cornell University for undergrad, she traded in her skis for a beach bag and attended Ross University in St. Kitts before returning to Cornell for a final year of clinical rotations for vet school. After graduation, she moved back to the beach and has been at Rehoboth Beach Animal Hospital ever since! Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and working with exotic companion mammals. Outside of work, she spends her time with her many dogs and enjoys going to our beautiful beaches.

Dr. Nick Kohn is from the greater Philadelphia area in Abington, Pennsylvania. Growing up he loved animals and spending his summers on the New Jersey beaches so becoming a veterinarian on the eastern shore has always been his childhood dream. He completed his undergraduate prerequisite coursework for veterinary school at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, PA. Dr. Kohn then attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Starkville, MS where he obtained his DVM degree in May of 2019. Dr. Kohn joined the team at Rehoboth Beach Animal Hospital in June of 2019. His professional interests include internal medicine, anesthesiology, and preventative medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Kohn enjoys spending time on the Delaware beaches, walking the boardwalk, or relaxing by a pool. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends whenever possible.
