The Society of Hunting Lovers, which existed in Moscow in 1887-1917. The founder of the society, Leonid Pavlovich Sabaneev (1844-1898), a Russian zoologist and naturalist, belonged to the noble family of the Sabaneevs... At the end of the 18th century in Moscow, like in other cities of Russia, elite hunting clubs were created, including the Russian Hunting Club... In 1887, L.P. Sabaneev drew up the charter of the club, and on June 12, 1887, the deputy minister of the interior, head of the police, lieutenant general Shebeko approved it.
