Amy Chasse

Amy joined RKO in July 2001. She graduated from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine in the spring of 2001, with a Bachelors of Science in Public Accounting. Amy brings to RKO her ability to speak French fluently. While in college, Amy was involved in various student organizations. She also did an internship while in school which involved primarily corporate and individual tax work. Amy is currently a Partner and works in the commercial and tax department. Her primary duties involve participation in commercial and school district audits, and various commercial, individual and payroll tax work. In addition to her primary duties, she is also involved in recruiting for the firm. She conducts interviews on various college campuses each fall. Amy participates in a variety of CPE courses each year. Topics covered while attending these sessions include Audit and Accounting updates and the Maine Tax Forum. She has also presented tax training materials during in-house CPE training sessions. Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In her spare time, Amy enjoys skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, camping and taking care of her home.

Casey S. Leonard

Casey earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire after graduating summa cum laude from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Casey joined RKO in 1998 and is a Certified Public Accountant and a partner with RKO. His primary area of practice is in providing audit and advisory services to governmental entities including municipalities, school departments, regional school units and quasi-governmental organizations. Casey has provided expertise in areas related to the single audit requirements of the Uniform Guidance, financial statement accounting and reporting, and the additional accounting and reporting requirements specified by the Maine Department of Education. He has advised and assisted his clients with disclosure, financial reporting and compliance requirements pursuant to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate Program. In 2014 Casey completed a six-year term as board member of the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), of which he has been a member since 2002. In addition to the MSCPA, Casey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the GFOA. Casey's continuing professional education has included attendance at MSCPA and GFOA courses and conventions.

Donald C. Gaudet Jr.

Don currently heads up RKO's nonprofit department. He started his public accounting career at a Big Four firm where he spent five years working with private and public colleges, as well as retail, construction and insurance companies. In 1999, Don made the move to the private sector, where he spent time as Controller for a private college in southern Maine. Don re-entered public accounting when he joined RKO in February, 2000. Since joining the Firm, Don has specialized in the non-profit sector of our practice and provided services to numerous clients ranging from private schools to community action agencies, to employee benefit plans. Don's experience in the non-profit industry includes financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, and compliance audits in accordance the Uniform Guidance. Additionally, Don's experience includes MAAP audits and audits of employee benefit plans in accordance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). Don is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jeffrey M. Raab

Jeffrey M. Raab CPA, MSA joined RKO's South Portland office in September 2011. Jeff attended Franklin Pierce College for his undergraduate degree and University of Southern New Hampshire for his master's degree. He was previously a manager in a NH firm where he served as manager of accounting and tax services. Jeff received his Registered Investment Advisors license in 2000 and Certified Public Accounting license in 2004. He has worked in public accounting for over 19 years, providing clients with a full range of tax, audit, investment and business advisory services. Jeff is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jennifer Conners

Jennifer graduated from Husson College in 2003, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Accounting and MSB in Business. Jennifer earned her certification from the Maine Board of Accountancy in 2003. Jennifer has worked in public accounting for over 20 years and has worked primarily on commercial, municipal, and quasi-municipal audits. Over the past few years, she has participated in training related to compliance audits for Federal and State programs, including audits of internal controls, fraud, and governmental accounting and auditing. Jennifer is currently a member of the Governmental Financial Officers Association (GFOA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), and the Maine State Society of Certified Public Accountants (MESCPA).

Kristin Starzyk

Job Titles:

Kristin graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, as well as a Masters of Business Administration. Kristin is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the States of Massachusetts and Maine. Kristin has experience working with various for-profit and non-profit real estate and commercial entities, as well as employee benefit plans. Additionally, Kristin has significant experience in performing single audits for Federal and State funded programs in accordance with Yellowbook and the Uniform Guidance. In 2016, Kristin relocated to Maine and began working for RKO. Since joining RKO, she has focused on the non-profit industry, as well as employee benefit plans. When not at RKO, Kristin enjoys hiking, frisbee golf, reading, and spending time with her family.

Michael P. Dubois

Mike primarily serves clients' individual and business taxation needs. He is also involved in the audits and reviews of commercial entities and audits of employee benefit plans.

Roger A. Lebreux

Roger graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a concentration in accounting. He has worked for the firm for over 29 years, providing clients with a full range of audit, tax, and business advisory services. Roger is currently the principal in charge of our commercial department. He serves primarily commercial clients in a wide variety of industries, including reviewed or audited financial statements, tax compliance and planning and other consulting services. He is also actively involved with the preparation of tax returns for individuals. Other areas of expertise include the audits of municipalities and school districts. He is a member of The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and The Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Timothy Gill

Timothy graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maine in 2005 with a Bachelors Degree in Finance. In 2009 he earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Maine. After graduating, Timothy worked in the private sector for several years doing small business accounting and inventory management. In the sixteen years that Timothy has been at RKO he has taken on many different areas of accounting. However, Timothy's focus has been on auditing and has experience working with corporations, non-profit organizations, local governments, school districts, and other quasi-governmental agencies. Through his hands on experience and participation in annual training Timothy has become proficient in Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Government Auditing Standards, and the Uniform Guidance. In addition, Timothy is part of a team that organizes and prepares RKO's annual in-house two day training seminar. He routinely presents at these seminars and educates others on various topics including capital asset management, debt management, internal controls, and GASB pronouncements. Timothy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants (MECPA), and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). Timothy has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maine since October of 2012.
