Gustavo & Jackie Sotelo are the proprietors behind Orixe Sotelo, a brand founded in Sonoma, California in 2019. Orixe (o-REE-shay) is a Galician word from Latin "origo" meaning: "beginning, source, birth, origin". Our name, Sotelo, originates in the coastal mountains of Galicia, Spain. O.S. is the lens through which we aspire to expand upon California's wine culture, specifically through the use of Spanish grape varieties. We have a strong vision for their future in California - a state that is primed for a renaissance of these cultivars and wine expressions... Orixe Sotelo is focused on producing wines made exclusively from Spanish varieties cultivated in California. We draw upon Alta California's unique terroirs to explore the full potential of these cultivars and write a new story encompassed in a bottle of wine.
