Dr Mritunjay Sharma

Dr Mritunjay Sharma finished his B.Sc. (H) From Kirori Mal College, Delhi University in Chemistry. After that, he went to England to study Masters in Polymer Material Science and Engineering from the University of Manchester and consequently finished his Ph.D. in Nuclear and Materials Chemistry from the University of Manchester. While his time in Manchester he was also a UMIP (University of Manchester Intellectual Property) Fellow. He was also involved with the University newspaper as a Film critic and was making films for the University of Manchester Filmmaking society. His Ph.D. was concerned with Developing Smart coatings with Radiation detection functionality. In this work, different types of spray-able coatings were formulated which can detect alpha particle nuclear radiation when applied to a contaminated surface. This work was sanctioned by the Nuclear Decommissioning Company Sellafield Ltd. This Ph.D. EPSRC CASE Award was awarded by the University of Manchester along with Sellafield Ltd.

Dr Nilanjan Das Chakladar

With almost 5 years of post-PhD work experience in research, teaching, and enterprise, I have developed skills in writing research propositions, leading project meetings, networking and resolving conflicts in multi-partner collaborations, and inviting university-industry collaborations. Currently, I am an assistant professor in Manufacturing Science and Engineering Specialization in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, (One of the prestigious and oldest premier institutes of India). I have proposed a new postgraduate subject "Fabrication and Processing of Advanced Composites" which I am lecturing to MTech of Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, and Naval Engineering students. Also, I am a joint lecturer on the undergraduate subject of Casting Forming, and Welding.
